2008 Midwest BIG Spring Meet

I want this to be huge, so lets start a feeler thread to see who and where we want to have this!? Lets start planning now so people cant cancel in the last minute and there just be 3 cars in the meet. This is open to all suggestions and i want to have it in a location where a whole bunch of balts will be. I heard KC was big last year, but im not sure...wasnt there

So feel free to post suggestions guys, let's make this HUGE!

I'm always up for an excuss to travel Any chance it would be at or near a 1/4 mile track? All we have are 1/8 mile tracks here in Iowa (i think).

not true. cordova is quarter miles. i think that would be a good place to have a meet too. tons of space for camping there is a dyno and tune shop a mile down the road.

cordova has what is called midnight mayham. its open for any type of car with street legal tires. it is from midnight untill 5 am. its the last friday night of every month. great time.

it sounds like we need to start a poll.

I'd be up for a meet somewhere. Just make it some place that's easy to get to.

im not saying this just because i am in stl, but i also agree here would be good, cause we have alot to do, and track and dyno's arent far, and we are central for everyone, i think we need a poll in a month or so, once more people see this thread

it is, its in the quad cities just across the river from IA.

Earlville Iowa has a track I think? That is near dubuque for those not from the area.

also Byron IL has a very nice track.

Byron is the ****! I love that track. A lot of people think its downhill but it is not!!! Its cheap also and not too many people go there. We may even be able to rent it out depending on how many people are interested in coming!

honestly the way i look at this is that this is why STL should be the meeting point:
1. we have a 1/4 mi track
2. there are multiple dynos and I know mutiple people who I can set up a discount for dynoing... (adreniline, PUR proformance)
3.there alot of nightlife here in STL and alot of places to shoot pictures at..

you know stl would be cool but if we can actully get alot of people and have them pre pay to proove there coming we can actully have it in like kansas or byron and rent out the track. We can get people all over the US maybe call it Cobalt Fest and make it like a 3 day event and on the last day have a car show or something, not just local lets expand.

You can even have some one make a web site or something.

True, that would be in the central part of the U.S. Idk, lets just see how well this catches on first. A 1/4 mile track i think should be a MUST HAVE for the meet. Just my opinion though.

Looks like most people so far want it in Missouri... I would say once it gets closer to time and get more interest you should do a poll for the most mentioned cities and see what the majority is.
