Good meeting the both of you -

for those who could not be there, we had three SS/SC's and two corvettes show up.

We had a couple of pitchers adn 40 wings then took off.

Blown06 and automobiliben both showed up - ben's is the silver and blown06 is the VC car with the aftermarket exhaust.

blown06 - your car sounded great when you took off up the street - sweet!

Let me know when you need lift time - and I will be over at K's on the 11th for the twin cities deal.

Looks like it was a lot of fun. Sorry I didnt make it, last minute crap kinda derailed me.

But one GREAT thing did happen while I was missing it, I asked my girlfriend to marry me! Of course she said yes. So i'm now engaged.

I'll try to make it to the TCC show on the 11th, but no gurantees, I just hope I can.

 

Cool, we can let you get by with that excuse. I am actually going to be getting engaged soon too. Ring shopping is a little confusing. Where did you get it at?

 

I got the ring at Kays Jewelers, pretty good place. I know theres one in the mall over here. Great selection. My shopping wasnt to bad, except they kept trying to sell me rings that were 10X my price range. Bastards they were! lol

Anyways good luck with the shopping and proposal (sp?)

We went up to Washingotn and automobilien bought the next pitcher.

Actually, it was like today, a good day to stay indoors and enjoy a cold drink.

Ben - congrats on the pending marital doings.

When I bought my wifes ring, I bought a loose stone diamond and had it mounted - connections you know.

I did sell my 86 softail to buy the diamond though

BTW Ben - I had some scummy-land dirtbag try to road rage me after you turned off - drunken bastach must have though it was too much to have to slow down to let you turn off....

******* was so stupid, he passed me and was all swerving and stuff. I followed him until he turned off, then I went around the block to find out where his slab-home quasi trailer house was. What an idiot. Should have seen the look on the scumbags face.

He'll be watching over his shoulder for a few days I am sure.

mqqn - WOW, that sucks! I hate driving through there, that city is depressing, too bad I have to drive through there every day on the way to work. Thanks, yeah I have a cool idea for the band so it is probably going to have to be custom, I really don't want to have to make payments on it, so the car might have to take the back seat for a month or two.

rally - I was actually at Kay's today. They were really nice. I am getting a custom band made that the wedding ring slides into the middle of. So far both Kay's and Brinkley (a shop in Morton) have both thought that it was a really neat idea and are excited about working with me.

 

Glad you guys had a nice get together. Once the election is over I may try and sneak up there sometime when you all get together. Peoria is only a couple hours for me I think.

 

mqqn thanks for the comp on the exhaust sound it was cheap way till I can afford the nice aftermarket, also to those going to the TCC show it is actuallySaturday the 12th not the 11th. However I will not be there I forgot I will actually be in Lake of the Ozarks that weekend.

 

Mqqn: I may be in Bloomington for the May 12th TCC. Since I'm part of XI, the prez wants me there, since I've been AWOL for a while. LOL I'm still making up my mind though. Gotta see if my buddy with the Benz is gonna go. But, I'll let ya know. Would be nice to meet another Balt owner! Later man!

i am a moline il cobalt LS blue i am trying to get more people to join my myspace cobalts and cavilers club just to get more people around so that way we could have like a little drive and a meeting spot to get to know other cobalt drivers .....there are a bunch running around up here and i know most of them have be bought from where i work LUJACKS North park auto plaza but it seems like if you try to get anyone together its hard......

 

I think i'm in that cobalt club.

And if your interested come on down for out meets, your really not that far away.

I would be up for it but I drove to peoria last time and not very many people showed up so I will pass this weekend since money is tight and I do not get paid till next weekend.
