Not so much like PETA. They take things a little too far! I have my beliefs, & it's not all animal related.

Ah, thats good. So, how do you get a balance of protein? Do you drink milk and stuff to get calcium? Sorry for all the prodding questions, I am a nursing student, and have quite a previous background in nutrition, but have never found a Vegan that is Vegan for anything besides "oohhhh the poor animals".

No worries! I get my calcium from coconut, almond, &/or rice milk. I get my protein from raw unsalted assorted nuts. I'm trying to get back into college. I'd like to get into the medical field of some sort. Always loved Science & the human anatomy. Would like to try & get into either the chiropractor field or nutritionist.

Cool, thats an interesting side of things. So, you basically dismiss meat because of the fat content? Or is it more the growth hormones and all the additives in there now? There are some very healthy lean meats out there, and a bit of fat is good for digestion. I understand you are getting some fat from the nuts, but I imagine its not enough, unless you are eating numerous servings per day. Also, I would like to see the nutrition facts for the assorted milks, just to see how the calcium compares to cow, goat, or soy milk.

I just prefer to keep away from meats. A lot of my fruit & veggies are all organic as well. Coconut milk is actually better for you than cow milk. It has very good fat in it. I chose to not drink soy milk. Not that great for men, plus I have too much estrogen in my body as it is, haha. I don't eat balanced meals during the day. Just consists of couple pieces of fruit, carrots, nuts, & some salad. I don't eat any condiments (ketchup, salad dressing, nothing!) Everything is plain & raw. Nothing cooked. When you cook foods, you tend to kill all the natural enzymes that help aid in digestion, & also kills it's nutritional value. I'm a bit crazy, I know.

Eek man! You might wanna eat a balanced meal. Its totally possible without eating meat, and its much healthier than just eating whatever here and there. I could go into a book on all this, really, but I will spare everyone else, lol

Haha... I wish I could eat a bit healthier, but I have to watch my blood sugars and ****. If they get low, its no good. I still eat healthy, but I can't just dismiss meat.
