I hate to bring this thread back on topic, but I do have a question about the race day. I'm sure the answer to this question is yes, but racing, I assume, would require a helmet, correct? This is my first time out on a track (My first car worth putting on the track) and really have no idea what to expect. I've been to races from the spectator point of view, but never the driver's..

Also, I'm going to be in the midst of traveling back to Ohio for some hard earned and overdue leave, so I'm going to have a bunch of crap in my car, is there anywhere to store this stuff while running?

Newbie questions indeed..

Hi If your going to be staying at the hotel I am sure we can figure out a place for you to store your extra cargo.

You have a good question about whats required so we have a link to help everyone with those questions

You need a helmet if you run 13.99 or faster. With your car I would say you will need one. GLD has helmets that you can rent if you need one but it might be a wise idea to buy your own if you plan on doing anymore racing. As far as your crap, you could just make a pile where you park your car. Your only going to be away from your stuff for a little while and you could have someone watch your stuff.

Thanks Tom, that page pretty much answers every question I had.

Luckily I have a pretty nice Bell helmet Used to ride a big ol 1450cc stage 1 superglide and a lil baby rebel 250, never rode without it.

Pretty sure its a will-call thing

I'd be willing to meet up somewhere, I'll be taking 43 the entire way (obviously).

So I won't be at the track because my new job pulled through and I'll be in training the next 6 weeks. I'll be out at 5 Friday so I'll head straight to the hotel
