Chicagoland June 24th Meet
Here is the official annoucement of the Chicago area June 24th Cobalt meet. Sign up now! This meet will be in the Aurora/Naperville area near the Fox Valley Mall. I have been trying to get The Home Depot to give us specific permission to use the parking lot of the former Expo Design Center on Route 59. They have however been dragging their heels horribly.
Should they fail to come through, the meet will still happen in my back-up location of the forest preserve just south of there.
Bill Hahn plans to attend, bringing with him at least his Sunfire project car. With any luck, he'll have the Twin-charged Cobalt SS or the JIN tuner transformation car with him as well. I will also be inviting all of the Chicago area CobaltSS.net supporting vendors (there are quite a lot of them actually) so you can meet you are buying from. I hope to have CobaltSS.net window stickers to hand out too (still waiting on those).
So, let the list commence...

Sorry guys,
Once again I will be out of town the weekend of the 24th doing a car show in MN.
I am trying to put to gether a Cobalt gathering on June 17th here at the dealer if anyone is interested. We will also have our annual Classic, Performance car show going on and thought it might be a good time.
Thoughts?

The space that I specifically highlighted does not have a building on it.
However, I did just hear back from Home Depot they have leased the old Expo building, so I was not allowed to use the lot.
I'm gonna try to find another lot that will give us permission to park with being called "loitering" before I fall back on the park.
By the way, I failed to mention the meet time. Since it's summer now with longer daylight, I thought 5pm would be good. It gives people with jobs more time to get off their shifts and still make the meet.

I'm not at home right now. I'm in New York working. I'll have a chance this weekend to head out to the area and scout out a spot for us, then I'll post it up. But the date and time are solid.
Jonel (our wonderful site administrator) has ordered up the decals for us. Those will be free-bees on me. I'll have to talk to Vision bulbs a little later to see what he's willing to do for us.
