okay anyone around here got the stage kits yet? i talked to my dealer and they had no clue about them, after talking with the guys and showing them these kits exist by giving them the part numbers to look upi realzed i didnt want to get the kit installed there. one of the parts guy was saying how they might not be able to flash my ecu because of all the people wanting their rev limitier raised and GM putting a stop to it or soemthing.?? he then went on to talk about the 9 second cobalt that broke the Gateway record saying how the car was stock and right from the dealer.. at that point i just turned and walked away

any suggestions on a chevy dealer that has some techs familiar with our cars would be appreciated

Hey, I live in O'Fallon. I am going to get a cobalt soon and I want an S/C. I'm going to turn 18 in August. And I would like to know how much everyone is paying for their car. My parents said they will pay the insurance so that is not a problem. I am going to be making the payments and want to know what some people are paying.

I brought the part numbers with me to my dealership, Wiers, and they said they could get it, but I'm real iffy about paying the 1000.00 for parts and labor

i know exactly how you feel. i think im the first or only SS/SC my dealer services so far. for my first oil change they came out and said that i needed synthetic for my "high performance engine" i was like no ****. they seem to have no clue and treat it as a regular cobalt. if anyone knows of a good trusted chevy dealer please inform us

I have been to a couple different dealerships for odds and ends and the best one I have found yet has been Johnny Londoff. They were the first dealership I went to that didn't try to tell me that the SS has all the same service requirements as the regualr cobalt. I may take my car there to have the Stage 2 kit installed... If I ever get it that is... been waiting 5 weeks now and still waiting...

I got into an argument with the techs at Trenary when they put regular oil in my car. I guess the big sign on the oil cap that says Mobil1 or synthetic oil only is just for show.. HA! Finally they agreed to drain the oil and put synthetic in without charging me for another oil change. I did call and complain the GM after which I know have the next 4 oil changes for free...
