I was driving down I-355 (Chicago burbs) and saw someone pulled over ahead, I look over from a distance and wonder what the Trooper is driving..... as I get closer I realize it is a bronze colored (desert sand mica) Toyota Sequoia.
I am thinking , now I have to be on the look out for this freakin thing

So, to all you locals or tourists...beware the Sequoia

any other undercover units out there I need to be watching for?

Man we have Crown Vics in Gainesville that are pimped out, skating on 20" wheels man.... Talk about a huge waste of freaking tax money....

 

Crown Vics (some unmarked), Explorers, Durangos, and the occasional Charger up here

 

VA state troopers have superbee srt/8, a cobra stang, and a R34 skyline... all unmarked and have their flasher mounted in the headlights and tail lights, no lightbars or antena whips or anything that could possible give it a way as it "might" be a cop. they have a few impalas that are sitting on factory chrome rims, chrom trim, unmarked untined windows and some with tinted windows, no light bars, flashers mounted in tails and headlights only... becareful in VA

 

i would never, EVER, pull over for a beige toyota. if it's not a marked police car, you'll have to run me off the road if you want me to stop.

do you know how many people have been robbed/raped/murdered by fake cops?

The town cops still have crown vics here. but the Provincial(highway) cops have Chargers. The Chargers look pretty cool all 'copped' out. Looks agressive

 

i live in Huntington Beach CA, and i've driven through laguna beach, and seen porsches, painted black and white, to use in high speed chases. rediculous.

 

well, virginia, is a special case, and they are well known for the "having out of state tags on a saturday night" ticket.

 

in butler pa i seen a silver charger, a supercharged vic, and surprisingly a black srt-4 neon LOL yes one of the officers uses his personal car as a car to catch street racers

 

in new britain,ct camaro SS.

 

wow, an R-34.... I would have probably chased the R-34 if he was booking through traffic and if I could not tell it was a cop ..... very dangerous

here in IL, the plate always gives them away... it has a M or an SP or a few variations.... when in doubt check the plate

 

the only thing that will give it away is when you get on its ass there is small print under the plate number that says local government use only

 

Hence, why there are no unmarked patrol cars in OH

 

well ive seen the obvious crown vics and chargers, ive seen trail blazers, s-10 blazers ( ya know, the early 90's ones), camaro's a 1st gen neon (no im not kidding) and a F-350

 

VA beach is cracking down on the speeders hard core. They have the street racers division at the PD with i think they had 3 tuners and those 2 muscel cars i stated above

 

Here in iowa the highway cops use crown vics, chargers and some magnums. In Des moines they also have exploders, rangers and escapes. The rangers suck because they look like animal control.

 

Some of the cars the cops are using were takin thru drug bust forfeitures.
Police here have a couple Vette's they're using as DARE cars.

The fun cops we have around here came from a undercover street racing sting. Besides the chargers and mustangs unmarked there is a black 350z w/ gold rims. Cant tell it's a cop until the light bar comes on

in nc they have those white utility vans ans unmarked even have ladders. only way that kinda gives them away is no advertisments on the side and the ladder looks welded
