I know some people on this site are from Illinois just like I am... We need to get together and set up some meetings in the near future for our Cobalts that we should be getting shortly... Just keep in touch and when they do come in, and we all get settled and stuff like that... We can get together... Untill then lets share some insight on which way were gonna go wif our cars*What kinda mods..And stuff like that* I look forward to talking to you guyz in the near future....

I'm in STL. but I wont be getting a cobalt for a while. I can tell you their is a cavi club that meets the first saturday of each month on lindberg. thats the only car club around i know of.

 

Yup Gateway J-Bodies, every 1st Sat at Ruby Tuesday. I will be invading that with the SS I used to be in there, until i sold the cavalier, thank god too.

 

hi, im new here i will be picking up a base blue cobalt coupe tomorrow, i currently own a 2000 cavalier and am a member of j-body.org, i love going to the meets with the cavs so hopefully it will be just as fun to go to cobalt meets, i live in lockport which is near joliet and orland park area about an hour south of chicago. so hopefully ill see you guys soon!

You guys are lucky. I wish I still lived in Illinois, that state kicks major ass. I used to live in Naperville up until four years ago when I moved to Arizona.

 

I'm in. I live in Oak Park, along the I290 right next to Chicago and I pick up my Cobalt tomorrow morning. Fully loaded 1SB coupe LS except no XM radio. I don't like the extra antenna and refuse to pay for radio. I'll only get to drive it once however, straight to the custom shop. I am pulling the powertrain first thing. Installing Eagle rods and JE Pistons. Sending the Auto Trans out for a bulletproofing. Getting a head job. Once that is all done, the car won't really have any more power then stock, but it will be ready for the power it's gonna get later in the summer. See my post:

yea, we got to get something together this summer, i'm gettin a black Cobalt LS at the end of June and me and my one of my friends are going to do tons of mods on it, i live out near schaumburg, and i want to get a group together to be able to bet those dam import car clubs

 

Alyricz2004 did u get your Cobalt yet? wat area you live near?

I picked up my cobalt a couple of weeks ago. Living in Huntley,IL right by woodstock, Crystal Lake. and am really new to the area it be cool to get some meets going on.

Yea, i live about 30 miles east of STL. In fact i bought my cobalt at George Weber in Creve Coure(how ever you spell it). I'd be interested in meating up with some othe Cobalt owners.

 

i would do a meet in like orland park area or tinley area maybe, not really sure where everyone else is located but those are some of the popular areas around here, or schaumburg is always good too lots of hooters and other places to meet at.

 

see this is what we could be doing, just all cobalts instead

On August 20th, there is going to be a GM tuner bash at McCormick Place in Chicago. I plan on attending. I think we should get together before then, and I like the Schaumburg Hooters idea. I'll think about this alittle more...
