IOWA: need your help!

My little brother in Iowa (owns a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon that he just bought a turbo kit for) needs a shop to do the install/tune on his Tibby.

Does anyone know any reputable shops in Iowa, Nebraska, or Illinois who would be up to this task?

Your help is greatly appreciated. thanks!!

Thanks bro!

I dunno, there may be something within driving distance of him...like in Des Moines, or Omaha or Lincoln. Maybe even Minneapolis/St Paul or Chicago.

Kraft 5 Star Muffler is a somewhat performance store. Or Automotive Machine Shop. They have a Dyno.

If he doesn't refresh that engine, he's going to be in a world of hurt.

Where at in Iowa?

But around here you pretty much do it yourself or know someone that will help you out, not many shops.

Oops, just thought of Rev Hard in Rock Island, Illinois... No first hand experience there but the owner has a 10 second (maybe 9, not sure) 2G DSM that traps over 140 mph in the 1/4. Nice guy from what very little I know of him, and they have an AWD dyno.

He and I know this, and he's planning on doing that before the turbo even gets near the car.

He lives in a little podunk town called New Providence (it's in a dry county..I didn't even know those kinds of counties still existed except out here in Mormonville, UT lol)

Sweet! I'll let him know about that shop too: good lookin' out!!

Once the motor is built, he wanted to install the kit himself (I'm from Iowa too--I know how it goes)...but I suggested to him to have a shop install it. That way, in case the install was messed up, someone would have to correct it.

Hahah the quintessential itty bitty Iowa town... I looked on google maps and I see two county roads intersecting and about 9 other "streets", all less than three blocks long lol.

I'd have him call Rev Hard to see if they can give him a hand. That shop also sponsors the Midnight Madness events at Cordova Dragway.

Good luck!
