i agree. dont worry about the special use permit, My step mom works for the city of leawood and I am sure that is ways aroud that.

 

Well, Mike...now that we know that. You think she could get us a nice spot in Leawood somewhere......cheap or better yet free.....I know there is Leawood Park right off 435 and state line. They have shelters and a big lot. Bad thing is they have soccer games on saturdays and maybe fridays. I dont know. So, it gets packed pretty fast. Maybe you can ask her about that

Cool! I havent seen many people on the KCSR baord jumping on. But, maybe once we have a date and place set we'll get more people.

I'll be coming alone. The future wife is still in Germany for another month. And I dont know many people with cobalts, cavaliers, etc. I know a lot of Camaro guys, since Im a member of the Kansas City Camaro Club.

So, so far, we're up to 8 maybe 9. I think donjuaniii might come as well. I saw him post in the other thread.

 

Mike, you talked to you mother-in-law yet?

I tried calling Shawnee Mission lake friday, but no one answered the phone. Im holding off on Longview, since its the most money

 

I talked to her this weekend she is looking into it for me. She said they do a lot of soccer so that might pose a problem but if we are open to avalibality she will give me alternite dates as well. She said most likly no cost for us.

 

I live in Omaha, but if I can fit this into my work schedule, I'd be very interested in coming, possibly bring another couple of people. I'll keep an eye on this and try to drum up some interest up north

I was told that it will work for us. at most the cost will be $25 but that is being negoiated so the group will not have to pay. It will be a shelter with a bbq grill.

The down side is that on the 24 I will not be able to attend due to a family thing that just came up. I can still have the shelter for you guys.
