It is for sure the manifold gasket took mine all apart tonight and found residue near the first port on the gasket and we cleaned it well before we put it back on so I'm going to GM tomorrow and getting a new one

After we installed the TVS last night everything was good but then I drove it this morning and after ten minutes it started whistling like maupins was. It was an obvious boost leak and you could hear it was coming from the manifold but then the car started pulling boost to compensate for it. Sucks lol. On a side note before the boost leak I pulled a 6.0 gto from a 30 roll lol

Yeah and make sure to tighten it like your exhaust manifold center first and then move out at least that's what I have been told I'm going tomorrow as well to get a new gasket

 

exhaust manifold....i aint dealing with the back

 

No.....if you were to take your exhaust manifold off when you put it back on you are supposed to tighten the middle bolts first and then move your way out and I was told to do the same method with the intake manifold in order to avoid a leak. Is your car running like **** because of it?

 

you can look up the specific pattern im sure. but middle out is the main idea.

Well I fixed the squeel! it was the intake manifold gasket just make sure you don't tighten the lower bolt tight first just do the middle first

 

Check out my for sale thread some of your local guys might find a use for it or know someone that could use the parts.

how you're ******* this up and having leaks is beyond me

 

Its still pulls boost with the leak fixed but we think it could be from the aits but not sure opinions?

 

id have to see the map that riley ended up with to be sure.

and i think m car is doing something funny too....i cant hear the whine as much when i rev it at idle after fixing the leak...i reset the battery and will try again tomorrow morning...i need to take it for a drive maybe **** the neighbors off

 

2.9 i checked it a few weeks ago. so well see what a tune does for it this weekend with the dual pass and stuff bleeding the system is still going as i have driven it at all since only started it
