Well, lemme put it this way... I asked Dave (from WERKS) about them, and he just sighed and said "oh boy." Not the impression I was hoping for, to be honest. I know SB has a good rep, but Realtune really doesn't, apparently. The Exedy will handle more than the '400 ftlbs' that is advertised. Its a 6 puck, sprung hub, which is a good combination for street/race. A similar clutch like this from ACT will hold well over 550 ftlbs. I KNOW Exedy underrates their clutches like crazy, simply because then they never need to warranty them.

The Hyper Single is one of the best clutches out there (as the price proves). I am looking at the ACT clutches right now, and I think they will get the job done well. The Spec are so-so, but the Exedy is up on top. I had an ACT in my 350Z when I had it, and my god i loved that clutch. Perfect for the street, but held very very well, with beautiful pedal response.

I mean, go with what you want... just passing down the impressions I have been getting.

Hehehe... clutch install is cheap for me, lol. I think I will let WERKS do the bitch work on this one, lol.

 

yeah act does make a good clutch..... i cant honestly say that he is legit. understandibly they have some fast srt-4s buts honestly whatever. totally different car. you guys know since you make some badass trannys for them. but i mean how legit is a company saying they are making clutches when they are sponsored by a clutch company? im waiting some serious r and d. he says they will come with a hell of a warrenty too but i want to see that in writing before anything would ever happen. honestly i still have my heart set on an exedy multi disk when its released gotta fry the stock clutch now haha.
