You guys aren't planning on running your coilovers in the winter are you? I know some people do, but I could never do it even with ksports.

 

I most likely won't but if I throw them n at the end of February or begning or march I'll be ok and then I'll put the stock suspension on for winter or raise them I dunno yet

Mkriebs - Don't insult me saying that people are unhappy with my tunes. Just because you are a NEW random tuner who thinks he knows what he is doing and wants to make a little side money, doesn't mean you should TRY to discredit what I have done for this community. I have tuned a TON of people especially in chicago and around the midwest and everyone has been more then satisfied. When you started tuning I didn't get all defensive and pissy, I have been around a hell of a lot longer then you and I have been doing this a hell of a lot longer then you and have a MUCH better reputation, don't start a pissing match or you WILL lose.

Back on to the ecotec discussions.

Tom - We need to decide what the URL is going to be for the car club, maybe something like www.midwestecotecs.com if it's not taken? As soon as you have the website registered I will go ahead and get working on it, just pm me the information. Also if you could pm me the prices for the tc shock/strut package I would appreciate it, I have a few clients who are very interested in it.

Boosted - Those prices might seem reasonable to you city guys for the booze lol but I was kinda surprised lol. Out here drinks at the bars are around 2.75 for a single or 4 bucks for a double. I knew it was gonna be expensive cuz its chicago but 16 bucks for a double, that made me laugh =D.

+1 vote for a place with wings and beer next time lol.

hell no...thats what i have stock wheels, struts, and springs for lol. most companys will NOT warrenty your stuff if they find any sort of rust on them what so ever as well. so thats 3 of us confirmed....anyone else have interest in these?

im not trying to defend nor start anything here but i will say this...... regardless of how long anyone has been doing something it does not matter. you can be the best tuner, body man, painter, mechanic etc in the world but i guarentee sooner or later you will have an unhappy customer. its just the way things are. you cant satisfy everyone. its like what hahn did to bart and p and l/ams did to me. regardless all that matters is if you make a mistake all that matters is you fix it and fix it at your own expense. thats all i needed to say.

that being said....alky is expensive no matter where ya go. its more then pop or water is haha. i quit drinking awhile go so i never have to worry about it anymore haha. yeah in the actual downtown portion of the city its rediculous how much drinks are. out in the suburbs its not horrible..

im thinking for you out of a state guys we can have different chapters.....for instants a lot of us a from chicago but if you have a scene out there then i think it would be a good idea. Example: Midwest Ecotec....Illinois Chapter and so forth. this way we can span this thing to the whole midwest region.

ok now for the next bit of discussion....the next meet! heres what came to mind......i think a permanent meet spot will be good but i think for the few couple meets we should try out different places to see where we can get the most people and have a place that has good food aswell as an atmosphere. as for the meet itself how does this sound?

Boosted - I know what you mean about the tuning thing, I am sure eventually someone might want something changed or done, but I always make sure the client is happy at the end of the day, that's all I was trying to say. I have never had someone call me back and say they were unhappy and if it did happen I would drive back out there and correct it in a heartbeat on my dime, just because thats the kind of guy I am, ESPECIALLY for people that would be in the club.

As far as the meeting place goes, I don't think hooters is the best idea in all honesty. I enjoy the food/drinks/women however if a lot of people show up, space might be a problem. It was nice having large tables at the last meet where multiple people could sit together and converse, however they weren't to far away from the next table. If we meet up at hooters this could be an issue, space wise depending on how busy it is.

Also what are you talking about for the 3 people that are in. Is that for shocks/struts etc?

ive had like 20 people meet up at hooters before they just move a bbunch of tables together for us. thats usually where all my cruises have started over the summer. but hey everyones open for suggestions so let me know what you have in mind for a spot...ummmm maybe if not hooters though.....buffalo wild wings since a lot of people seem to want some beer and wings?ill keep the suggestions open...so far the options

the coilover deal is for stance coilovers. im currently working with adam from th motorsports on a local group buy. i have a special price thats rediculously low. IF i can get a few more it will go lower. right now the price in unbeatable by any other vendor anywhere and if i get a few more its going to be at almost straight cost for the coilovers. yes the 3 people are listed for the coilover deal so i have my list together.
