yea i wanted to do 2 weeks from now but i would be in columbia missouri helping a friend move... unless everybody wants to hold it in columbia missouri then i could move it to the 2nd or 3rd in columbia missouri...

 

Columbia would be fine, it really isnt that far

 

that would b e nice of everyone hehe. then i wouldn't have to spend money to stay in st,l i could drive there in 2 hrs. well whatever you decide is fine i just wont be there on the 9th. besides isn't columbia only like 2 hrs if that from stl if so it owuld be nice if you all would drive some since i have to drive hehe. anyways i will check back and see whats up. if its a no go i will just go to the next meet

 

columbia is about 1.75 hours from st. louis...if you drive the speed limit. It's really not a terrible drive. It's actually a little longer from K.C.

If it were in columbia I'd probalby be down for that. I live there so its close to home.

If you end up being here in columbia it would be cool. I have a suggestion for what we could do.

I'm not a huge fan of the ole hooters route, but what i think would be cool (did it with my roommate from college with the Corvette forum) is meet up somewhere in the morning and then hangout for about a half hour to an hour. Then there are some pretty fun roads around here to actually drive our cars on. Winding, hilly, and out in the middle of nowhere at times so it would be neat. I have a route in my head that we could all take and convoy. Then after that we could end somewhere that we could grab lunch/dinner and shoot the **** for awhile.

Don't know if that sounds good to you guys driving from far away but there would be very little freeway driving. Completely up to you guys.

If you're interested in this let me know and I'll spend the time to get the route all written down and mapped out for the people coming.

well i would prefer a spot right off the highway to meet up .

about the windy road and such it would be fun but this meet will kinda be a good starting point on what people want from a club in the area..

maybe the next meet after this one we can set something up like that.

also where do you live at in columbia my friend lives off i think its north broadway about 5 miles down also i will be in columbia late this sunday afternoon i will not have my cobalt i will have my 99 e150 van there and trailor helping my friend move if you would like to meet up and meet me it would be cool..

i think this meet unless other members state that they want to do the route then i say nay to it. but its defintually something for a later date. maybe if i rode with you or somebody on the coarse to see if it would be dangerous for other members before hand.

Ok cool about the cruise. I understand where you're coming from in wanting to get things organized the first meet and take care of some of the details.

As for meeting up today I am out of town on a business trip today so its a no go.

as for the cruise route, its not dangerous really. I mean they are roads people drive on every day. Just have to be careful about knowing your limits as a driver. I'd be more than happy to meet up with you some time and take you on a drive of it though. It's really pretty fun.

In either case, as you said, unless expressed by others that they want to do the cruise we'll save that for another time.

I'll be at the meet if it's in Columbia

I vote for STL. I also don't think that the cruise is a good idea yet because I know from experience how quickly things can get out of hand when a bunch of car guys(or girls) get together and drive around town.
