possible new guy

hey there everyone. my name is eric and im from st. louis and im currently selling my truck and looking into buying a cobalt ss. either supercharged 2 door, turbo 2 door or turbo 4 door. i have not made up my mind just yet but more then likely 1 of those three. i am new to this forum but part of another forum for chevy colorado's. i have a slammed 05 colorado that sits about 2.5" from the ground and i love chevys. so i think keeping it chevy would be the thing to do since they last so long and they forgive my abuse lol. i hope that i found a new home here since im buying a balt. also im guessing this site is alot better then ************* lol.

Well the way it looks I may be joining the forum. Went and looked at a 06 ss 2.4L auto yesterday and waiting to hear back from the dealer. It sucks cause it's not a manual or s/c but I'll make due. I never had forced induction in my 10 years of driving so I'm use to it lol. Any first easy/free mods I can do? Performance or to looks

Welcome to the site. If you're looking to mod your car go 2.0l turbo or supercharged. No offense to the 2.4 guys but you'll gain more power for less $$$ with mods if you start out with F/I.

Putting an LSJ in a Colorado would be awesome.

Then there's the whole reliability of a proven LSX over a turd ass LSJ.

Reliability is all in how it's built and how it's tuned. a bad tune can ruin any engine.

Also OP, welcome.

You can't argue LSJ vs LSX power. Ever.

So was mine, when I sold it I had 120k miles. But there's also everybody else blowing up at 40k and the problem after problem that seems to come with these cars. You don't have those issues with an LSX.

Everyone else? I don't think so. There's nothing wrong with the motor if you take care of it. They don't self destruct at a certain mileage.

It is a big step down but the market just wasn't there for the truck. Plus I needed more room and wanted to start running auto x again
