Sep 8th meet
Hey everyone,
Me and suburbanrobot want to set up a meet and are trying to have it in the NW suburbs. We were think the Steak and Shake at 1825 Barrington Road Hoffman Estates IL 60194 would be a good spot since it is easy to get to, being that its just off of I-90. We're going to see if the managers there would be ok with that. I dont think there should be to much of a problem as long as we keep it under control (ie, no burnouts, excessive revving, leaving garbage everywhere) since they will be getting our buisness. We're taking suggestions for other meet spots. No one say 75th and Lemont though, SRT club had their meets their weekly, and they stopped because police arrived and started passing out tickets.

No I'm off Fridays and Sundays.
I actually just got off the phone with Tom (astromens) from Crate Engine Depot, about setting up forum for the Illinois/Chicago club. We're going to try and get something temporary set up until we figure out a more permanent solution. This way we can get input about what people want from the club, and setting up meets. He also said we may be able to have this upcoming meet at CED which might work out better for everyone since police would be a non-issue and we'd all be able to meet the guys at CED and hear a bit about what they have for our cars since they'd like to sponsor the club.

Well the problem with Saturday is I usually work until 7-8pm. Unless it was a later meet, like 9-10pm I wouldnt be able to make it.

NSChi .... you night owl! I leave for work during the week at 5am so 10pm is too late for me!
oh to be young again.... I remember when going out before 11pm was just plain dumb.

If everyone can post a time and day they prefer, then I'm sure we would go with whenever the turnout would be largest. I agree with a afternoon to better see the BALT's.... can everyone do a Sunday?

Sounds great! I'd like to bring an array of Ecotec cars, including Solstice and Sunfire, as well as Cobalts. Anyone down for Four Corners in Downers Grove on the 23rd? It would be a Saturday evening kind of thing.
If another date works better for the majority of you all, let me know and I will pitch it to the Solstice and J-body folks. An all-Ecotec thang would be awesome!

You guys are way too fast for me. Im in MI for a show the weekend of the 8th,, Why does this always happen... I really want to get together with everyone. How about tonight.. I'm not busy right now...
