Ok well I plan on getting started on this in the next week or 2. I just want to know if there is enough support to make it worth my time. If you could just post saying anything at all I'd greatly appreciate it. Also I want any input you guys have either through pm or through this thread. Any supporting vendors who also want to support a Chicagoland Cobalt/Redline club please post or pm.

Im also going to post this over at redline forums to see if those guys support the idea. Im going to make it a chicago club just for the simple reason that it'll be easier for me to set things up in an area I know. Cobalt/Redline owners from Indiana, Wisconsin, South Illinois of course are more than welcome to join though! Let me know what you guys think.

 

I'd be completely up for it, but we should have regular meeting dates and times, so people don't have to worry about scheduling problems b/c I've had to miss the last few meets b/c I couldn't clear my schedule in time and I know I'm not the only one.

 

And here I was looking for a club to support.... Count me in

 

Me and a few of the guys from central illinois had this idea, but then we expanded it to a statewide club with areas for the different clubs in the state. Just a thought, we had a lot of support just no one to setup the site. Somewhere in the MidCentral forum theres a lengthy talk about it. Check it out. Just my two cents but I think you'll find a lot more support running with the state wide club...

 

you could do a statewide and then chapters with in....

 

I know thats why I posted this because everyone was saying "yeah good idea!" but then it fell off since no one wanted to start it. Im just taking the initiative to get the ball rolling on this. Statewide is a good idea, but I will need help organizing events for that since my knowledge of Illinois only goes as far as Chicago and the neraby suburbs. Any help I could get on this would great since I still do have a 50 hour work week and a newborn baby to take care of so I cant devote 100% of my time.

whoa calm down there, didnt saying anything against you, just said that the whole idea picked up steam quickly and died off just as fast.

 

I didnt take it against me, i just wish someone would step up and say they can do html. I know someone on here has that much freetime....

 

So talk to them and get them to do it . Like i said I have a busy schedule so it'll be slow going for me alone, but i'll still try unless someone else wants to get it started

Maybe we should start a thread looking for someone who could set up a site...lol. I would be up for the state wide thing (seeing as I was the person who started the other thread) but like rally said, we need a site first. Or heck maybe let's just plan a meet first. Do any of you guys go to Joliet on Tuesday nights? I have been thinking about going up there for a bit.

hey there fellas..... you can count me in. I'd love to do a local meet monthly maybe? a statewide meet bi-annually (maybe). But lets get the balts together and do something?
If we got enough peeps together maybe week could rent a track
(road course,dragstrip,parkinlot)? I'm open for almost anything. I think it's a great idea and I would love to see other peeps rides upclose.

me and my buddy both have cobalt SS's in woodstock, il. we have been lookin for a club since we picked them up a few months ago so let me know if this gets off the ground.

Yep, the two SS/SC's are with me, the LS is with the G/f's borthers for the school year though.

September 8th is a friday, I usually work evenings, and I'm waiting for the g/f to get a new job, but I can see about getting that day off, where is it at?
