I'm going down to SIUC (Southern Illinois University Carbondale).

You all should take a cruise down to SIUC one weekend and visit me! Take a 4-5 hour drive one day.

did you all hear that they closed the streets down basically!

I went there and they said that because there were a few fights and a burnout in a short period of time they were setting new rules against people being around their cars in the parking lot. Now you can only sit by the stores....

i was there when the fight occured and i had front row seats...2 diffrent gangs got into a fight infront of the movie threather...

Kings vs GD's....kings beat the **** out of them...one dude smash his skateboard on the other dudes head..and couple knifes were taken out,but the cops came on time before someone got stabbed...

so i talked to the officer and asked him whats up,and he said this place will be closed for a few weeks,since alot of idiots dont knw how to stay in order and not do burnouts and cause major attention..

oh ya and this happened on Friday 08-10-07...the lot closed at 10:30 or so...

 

yeah i think i was there too, but i didnt see the fight...dam it sounded like an all out BRAWL!

well im glad to hear that it will only be a few weeks, i thought that streets was gone forever!

OMG...I'm glad I wasn't there. Why would you start a fight at a car enthusiast gathering place? Well, at least I won't miss much, as I'm going off to school and summer is almost over.

I herad this was all a rumor though or something. But that sucks, hopefully when I come back, it will be back up and running!

Dang, so it may be true. Meh. That sucks.

And I say the chicagoland cobalts come visit me at SIUC so I don't get cobalt-deprivation syndrome!!

streets isnt for "car enthusiasts" its for idots to get together and prove to the entire world they are idiots.... very few people there are actually car enthusiasts

 

Actually, when us cobalts up there....we're sophisticated...We don't rev, we don't do stupid ****...We take pictures, a few videos...and we go to 1am breakfasts...It's a good time up there when we get some decent minded guys to go up. And as for saturday, if i'm not busy, i'll go

 

im up for it...friday prolly wont go gotta go watch the movie WAR,but maybe after than movie i might swing by,as far as saturday if there's no rain and weather is good,ull see me up there

 

Saturdays are always good for me. I get outta work usually around 6:30 on saturdays and I have enough time to go home change and leave for the streets. If my GF doesnt come home from school this weekend I will be at the streets on saturday.

Me and 07 SS/SC were goin to go but i coach football and my game got over late so we didnt head up there

I know of a yellow LT/LS with black rims, I saw him around the crestword (cicero avenue) area. probably same guy. And the only LT here in illinois is djpatrick....I hope its not him.
