I live around Dekalb, Illinois and I was wondering whether anyone from the area knew any good places to have their car tinted. I have friends that have all done their cars but I would rather have a professional do mine than ask a friend to do it for me. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

 

I dont know any one from dekalb but i had a professional do mine (great work by the way) Midcom tinting on Cicero and 83rd st in chicago.. not sure if you ever come this way..
Took 1.5 hours for all 5 windows (back is crazy hard to do) and he life time warranties his work. gives you copy of the law and receipt. hopefully you come this way.

 

i just stopped at this place called urban tanks in dekalb on the way home from school and their tinter was out of the shop but they estimated it costing 225-250 and it would be an all day thing so im not sure about that

 

I live up in rockford and just got mine done at jammin jins for 200

 

for how many windows? and what percent? cause i went to urban tank in dekalb and they quoted it at 225-250 for front, back, and the rear window, but that doesnt include the like 9" lip on the front windshield

 

my buddy/coworker here in elgin did all 5 of my windows for $175. ive got 5% in the rear and 35% up front. lifetime warranty and took about 2 hours to do

 

so basically $250 is probably a bit expensive... is that the general consensus? :P

 

Could be, but I know that place, they do good work. (on audio stuff from personal experience, don't have windows done)
