Tinting Tail Lights
thats not useful at all. that thread deals with only tinting of windows. i see nothing about the tinting of taillights.
in MD the laws deal strictly with the light emitted still being visible from a certain distance. ex; 500 ft for brake lights. (dont quote that number, i could look it up if u really need).
MD's equipment repair orders are all based on these distances, however i would bet most officers don't know these distances, however its not hard to find.

(1) Every motor vehicle upon a highway within this state during the period from sunset to sunrise and at any other time when there is not sufficient light to render clearly discernible persons or vehicles upon the highway at a distance of five hundred feet ahead shall be equipped with lighted headlights and taillights as respectively required in this section for different classes of vehicles.
