AutoX in Columbus, Oh!

http://www.ovr-scca.org/index.asp

never knew about this, pretty much held every weekend. ive read through the website and talked to some of the members.. sounds like a lot of fun, meet some new people, and get some great adredaline rushes out of the cobalts

You don't need to be an official member to try your car on the course. they are very very welcoming to novice's and actually wish for more and more to come out every week. Don't worry about getting your ass handed to you either, theres appropriate classes based on whats in your car/mods.. and theres even a novice class for me!! hopefully some fellow cobaltss.net members can join me first hand and expierence what we've been missing out (or if you have done autox before, helping us out) i will going to my first event this saturday's driver school (May 3rd)

all you need is a valid driver's license, a aprroved helmet (if not they do provide you with one, no biggie) and just some common suff to help you along (tire chalk, tire pressure gauge, bins to keep your stuff in, chairs, etc)

any feeback?

Yeah that does sound sweet and I'd like to try it. Is that Mid-Ohio? My neighbor autocrosses there.

Wait did I read that website correctly? You cannot go more than 10mph?! And what is this about working and stuff. Everything seems very confusing.....

The event I went to had 3 heats: one heat you drove, one heat you worked (picking up cones), one heat you had a break.

And the speed limit applies to the area surrounding the event, so retards aren’t driving like jackasses where people walk/in the parking/grid area.

OH ok I was was what's the point in Autocrossing if there's gunna be a speed limit?! Well I may consider doing this but I have no clue when. I may just wait till I get my Solstice GXP cause that'd be a much better car to do this in.
