Carson Palmer really, really hates Ohio State
As Ohio State's Sept. 13 game at Southern California approaches, there naturally will be some trash talking as these two storied programs brace for what looms as a classic regular-season matchup between perennial Rose Bowl opponents.
But Carson Palmer may have taken it to the extreme in an interview last week with LA radio station KLAC. Palmer, after all, makes his living in Ohio as quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals, and his remarks may make the home-state fans ultra-critical of USC's 2002 Heisman Trophy winner.

"I don't watch what I say. I cannot stand the Buckeyes, and having to live in Ohio and hear those people talk about their team, it drives me absolutely nuts . . . It's amazing to hear what those guys think about that university and what they think about that football program and (Ohio State coach Jim) Tressel and all the crap I gotta put up with being back there. I just can't wait for two years from now when SC comes to the 'Shoe and I get to hopefully, hopefully we'll have a home game that weekend and I can go up there and watch us pound on them in their own turf and kind of put all the talk to rest. Because I'm really getting sick of it and I just can't wait for this game to get here so they can come out to the Coliseum and experience LA and get an old-fashioned Pac-10 butt-whoopin' and go back to the Big Ten . . . I can't wait."

I know EXACTLY what he is talking about.
As a Texan (obviously a Texas fan), I was in the same boat when Texas was first slated to play Ohio State. People in this state just don't know when to shut their mouths. Cocky Cocky Cocky.
That's why I got a BIG rubbery one when Vince Young threw that touchdown pass and all of the Horseshoe when DEATHLY SILENT!
I heard this more many months before the game:
"You can NEVER beat us at home... not at the Shoe! We're invincible there!"
Haha... yeah... In-VINCE-ible. I loved that game almost as much as I did when we beat the Cocky USC fans who hadn't lost in like 3 years, so they thought THEY were invincible.
I HATE Ohio State.

He played for USC... he's only in Ohio because he plays for the Bengals now.
So its not really his Home Team.

Big deal, so he doesn't like Ohio State, I only watch them cuz I live in Ohio and I don't follow college football much. I actually think he gained more fans than he lost.

Carson Palmer is my new best friend, i too hate OSU, in fact, OSU fans can suck a nut... they will lose, somehow get lucky and get into a BCS game and then get creamed by a SEC team because they are not as strong as their fans believe they are.

VERY true! Hawaii went 12-0 and what did they get? They got a stinking bowl. Yes they are in a weak conference and yes they lost the bowl but still, don't you think it's harder to win every game mentally then go 11-1? I don't hate Ohio State but they do have the cockiest fans in the world... Go NOTRE DAME!
