So, sitting here at Quaker Steak and Lube in Columbus, OH on the patio with 36 other CSS members, posting from my Sidekick. Things going smoothly, other than the attack goose at the park and then trying to crush the roof of some companies truck in a parking lot while taking a group photo. Now we're sitting here and I'm thinking the waitress is going to freak out if anymore stragglers show up.

Anyhow, if you're in the region, and didn't come to this, get in some posts, because I'm banning anyone not here tomorrow.

i was there. but on the way out, i get a call and i couldnt make it to QSL. had to rush home to watch my tempermental dog since my dad left.

but it was fun as **** cruising from the church to the park. wait, it wasnt cruising, more like all out blasting. lol, but that aside i messed something up getting onto 270. should have known to slow down more when i hit the rumble strips before making the turn and see absolutely no one behind me for the longest time. hit a damn pothole and car slide to the edge of the road and from there i took it easy.

 

The eight people around me are dumbfounded by this post ^.

 

i dont quite get what i wrote there either. but hope you guys are having fun there. i have to go check the front end of my car out and see whats up with it. only 2000 miles on it, and ive already messed something up

I was there had to split early Pissed I did not get in the group photo O well maybe next year. Be safe keep her between the white lines .

 

The wife and I are bummed we didn't get to make it this time around either. She is 8 months pregnant and we had a scare last night and had to spend a good part of the night at the hospital with the baby on a monitor. All is good now with her and the baby.

 

Well, went well. Other than some idiot left their lights on and had to have Remedy etc give them a little shove to pop the clutch. Ahem..........yes I'm an idiot. Anyhow!

Then went to the go kart place next door. All you fools that paid to race and then had to get refunds when the weather rolled in. Hehehe.

We literally were pulling out and it started raining (and a little hail, no damage) for the first time all day, so, that was ok, as I only had to drive 5 miles instead of back to Youngstown.

Anyhow, nice meeting you all, great turn out. 35+ nice cars in one picture is pretty impressive. We beat out any 5 loser car clubs I could think of.

 

hail???? wtf. i headed back west after the meet and skys were clear the entire time. nothing happened here. most have just popped up there.

so anyways, was anybody filming the caravan from new carlisle? im interested in seeing some of the footage if someone did. im just not sure if some of the things i did should be shown as i was a dumb ass. lol, damn teckademics

 

My cuz got it on tape and is gonna edit and put it to some music.. Nothing really stupid is on the film just everyone cruising really. Like I said in the other post.. Nice meeting all of you even though I dont remember everyones names haha. Cant wait to see the pics.

 

I hope someone got you passing the semi on the ******* exit ramp instead of going around him the proper way!! That was just nuts!!!

there will be more then just one MIGHTY OHIO meet this year for those of you that missed this one, I'm sure there will be 2 more, I'm guessing July and October. not to mention the Dayton crew gets together often as we can.

actually it was a suv i think, and didnt they turn onto that exit? i passed the semi on the left. lol yeah, i went a wee bit crazy. i think someone was flagging me on to get a shot, then i was moving too fast to slow down so i just passed in the opening i had (so i think thats how it went). but i couldnt help it, ive been babying it since i got it and packed 2000 miles on it in 2 weeks. ive been itching to get going. wish i had those springs though, [blank]mph crossing traffic was hairy on ls stock suspension.

i could be up for more meets, but i think ill be good next time if there is driving involved

This meet was a blast. I just cant help but feel like the odd man out being the only Ion there. Still it was a blast, and much much fun.

On the way down the group of us who met near Lodi were acting like normal drivers till Jim had to go to the bathroom. Then it was full bore 110+ all the way to the next stop!

 

thats basically how we were coming from the west. but we were on it all the way to 270, then took it easy on 270. im glad we went slower on 270, because columbus is really cutting down on speeders and 270 is normally heavily watched and i was driving the easiest to spot vehicle
