and yes Todd, that Si has a 6 speed short ratio trans.
I drove it a few times and the gearing is amazing. 8200 comes so soon. and its smooth too.
Yet another way that GM failed on our cars. **** poor gearing. yes its nice to not have to use 4th gear in the quarter mile, but in the twisties or on freeway pulls, its hell.

I know this thread was started back in August, but I just found it tonight. I would love to go up there and and make a few runs on the dyno, but I got to work. Besides, I'm not sure if I could avoid running into that daggone concrete block in the parking lot!(bad memories) Butt dyno says I'm haulin' the mail! But hey, I'm off on the 3rd.

My buddie has sat. as he only day off, so we are putting in new lifters and rockers on sat. morning and rolling upto the dyno as long as everything goes well with getting the car back together.

 

whats he puttin the rockers in? an ss?

i wanna put new internals in my whip ... mines about 4k away from bein a serious sleeper..but thats about 4k more than ive got right now lol maybe some day ill build the motor with a 2.7 pulley and have a hundred shot on it.. someday.. maybe .. id have bika tune it but his scanner wont work .. tuners..
