I think I am gonna do a m90 swap ;P

I think I am gonna do a m90 swap on my car. I have been talking with a guy who I work with and he runs m90's on his thunderbird and is very knowledable about them. We both looked at my car and have came up with some adapter ideas and what not to make this thing work for CHEAP. So when I get the extra money to make this thing work I'll be letting you all know. They're are some guys who say are motors will have to work hard to spin the m90 or something like that, it would be what no more then 18 to 20 horsepower to turn the m90 but you will gain so much more to make up for that power so I am gonna try it and see what happens. So lets hope I get lucky .

This has been discussed countless times and I think the verdict was that it would not be worth it. Plus will the hood even shut?

You will lose power. Might wanna take a deeper look into where you are at on the M62 and M90 maps.

I am, I'm gonna do some research, and why do hyou think it will lose power, the m90 is a bigger sc then the m62 and your getting more boost, more power even with the power loss we lose from the motor we make that back by the more power we gain from the m90

Youre gonna spend 2K for a 5% power loss. You cant keep the M90 in its efficiency range just like the M62. THey are both production minded small blowers.

2k? y do you assume, that I will be spending 2k? only thing I need is the adapters to bolt that and the throttle body back up and maybe goto bigger injectors then I'll see if wicked will tune for me. O and how will I be getting 5% power loss?

Well I would go back to where I am now or maybe invest in that twin charge system from zzp or the TVS, but you know we really aint gonna know inless we actually do this, right now noone has did it to actually see what the outcome would be, so really saying what will happen to the car if I did the swap like I would lose power or only gain 5 more horsepower is kinda bogus talk in my opinion because those are not actual facts and until someone says hey I've tryed it and the outcome was horrible then I am gonna try it and just see what happens. Alrighty talk to you guys later.

Yes it will shut were gonna make an adapter for it
Less power output vs. parasitic loss at higher pressure ratios. Look at the charts.

How would I blow my engin by putting an m90 on there, lol zzp makes a Twin Charge system for our cars that can run stock internals, even if so, it just gives me an excuse to drop some forged pistons in, and if else rods, crank, etc. But I will take it a step at a time.

the eaton m90 also has a bigger displacement engine supporting it.

3.8 vs 2.0

think about it. i believe this would be a deff loss.
