Ernie is pretty good at something like that. He wasn't too happy when we pulled away from his slow ass supercar going to the place where we ate at. His car was the shizznit but only had three rims on it. lol

You still need to get your ride in it and see for yourself.
We already tried to put his in one day when I convinced Doc to bring over his HPT again. Ofcourse the **** didn't fit and I gave them a nice long explanation of the problem and what I wanted. They're replacing our uppers for free and said they'd be ready this week.
Lee's debating whether he wants to intall the Throttlebody. It makes the car a little harder to drive in traffic and the Cobalt is his daily driver.
I called that 1/8mile track down in NC because I've been itching to run it and the guy said they might have some test n tunes after the holidays (weather permitting) and the regular season starts in March.
If I get a wideband and get tuned properly I'm thinking about competing in their Street Class. It's bracket racing so I don't have to worry about going head-to-head with those V8 monsters that we saw down there.
damm why did'nt you guys call me man i've been trying to call lee and he does'nt answer and how are they making the uper part to fit let me know when you get it gotta check it out

Hey Lee,

you can go ahead and put a stop order on that Saab intake manifold. I ordered the intake manifold directly from Venom for the 05 ecotec 2.2L engine. Its coming polished

i thought so too, the current factory plastic one is only good to 8 psi boost and the factory plastic 2.4L manifold is good to 10psi boost. i'm looking to turn up my boost to 10 for street setting on my boost controller and 14psi for track setting

its looking promissing on the STS turbo system. On a 190 crank hp engine w/ the stage III kit they were making 270 crank hp on 5 psi of boost. and on 7psi of boost they were getting 314 crank hp on the same car w/ no modifications to the engine internals.

I can see 400 crank hp very obtainable in my car with this manifold

problem solved. a trany shop back home specializes in auto trany rebuilds for performance. for $1800 they will replace all trany internals with machined to match original replacement titanium parts.

would that kind of gearing be appropriate for a autocross setup? I have many things to do starting in March so I want to get things together now.

im not getting my gearing changed. it will be exact gear ratio. they are making titanium duplicates of everything in the trany. pretty much just to make it virtually indestructable so long i keep trany fluid in it. lol

But anyway, your tranny is fine for autocross. Once you shift you never come out of second anyway. I believe I've only hit the rev limiter once on a stock setup.
As for getting power to the ground, if you've done anything to your car (stage/pulley/intake/mounts/suspension upgrade) it throws you into SM, or "Street Modified". That means you can run race rubber.
Race rubber is very nice. Especially with a nice set of coilovers.

I know you asked for ideas but what did you have in mind? You just throw something out there like that and I don't expect you get much from anybody. Name something specific or even a list so this bunch of lamo's can start with the excuses why they can't go.

Appology

Hey Ernie,

I do belive I owe you an appology. I was/am going though quite a bit of crap lately and took it out on you when I shouldn't have. My life dreams fell through, school is going badly, the girl I planned on marrying left, and I lost my job all within the matter of one month. It is really hard for me to deal with this stuff, so I guess I just snapped. I don't mean to seem like a jerk or an *******, so I just wanted to appologize to you. I am getting over Chy, and I found a new job, and I have a new career opportunity that I am pursuing. It deffinately takes some stress off.

I just wanted to come up here and appologize.
