oh and btw...the turbo cobalts will be hitting dealerships end of this month early next..
yeah, i already posted that info. my dad works for GM and guess what else i have the inside scoop on.....

the concept camaro is coming out looking like the concept camaro if you by the v8 version
the v6 will have 18's on it, v8 will have 22 in the back 21 in the front

goes into production on february 12 2009 and goes on sale april 21st 2009, i have pre order for a v8 bumblebee yellow with black racing stripes.

they are also introducing a new color exclusivly for the camaro, its an orange color and looks like compatition orange but its not called that.

Thumbs down

I have to call again and find out. Last word was that they had disconnected the battery which sent the alarm into a frenzy and they couldn't get it to stop.

i got the panels under the dash (gllove box, the panel with the trunk release) the ones along the side under ther door and all the clips in my head lines all sprayed black.... im doing the side panels in the back seat today and im recovering the rear deck as well maybe the door panels if i can swing it i just have to find the tool to pop the u clip off the window crank....all in all she's coming along quite nice. the autobalt's interior is nearly done befre i deploy anyways. when i get back i might mess with a new headunit and reupholster the seats, we'll see...i'll try to upload some pics later on but for now i've gotta get this stuff done.

well, you SS guys may need to upgrade your transmission if you want to keep up with me LOL.

I just got the trq specs for the tranys in all the cobalts.

Chevy Cobalts come with two different transmissions depending on your model. Here is some info.

Here is the GM transmission guide.

http://www.gminsidenews.com/index.php?page=trans_guide

2.2L/2.4L Manual

Getrag F23

Type: transverse front wheel drive, five-speed manual transaxle.

Engine Range: 2.2L-2.4L
Max Gearbox Torque: 170 lb.-ft. Justins trany, Eddies Tranny

Weight: 102 lbs.

Applications: Chevrolet Cobalt, HHR; Pontiac G5

2.2L/2.4L Automatic

Hydra-Matic 4T40E/4T45E

Type: four-speed front-wheel-drive, electronically controlled, automatic overdrive transaxle with electronically controlled torque converter clutch.

Engine Range: 2.2L-3.5L
Max Gearbox Torque: 325 lb.-ft. Adam's trany FTMFW

Weight: 188 lbs.

Assembly Site: Windsor, Ontario

Applications: Chevrolet: Cobalt, Malibu, Pontiac: G5, G6, Saturn Vue 4-Cylinder.
With a max TQ rating of 325 lb/ft, it doesn't seem to be the weak link..

2.0L Supercharged

GM Europe F35

Type: transverse front wheel drive, five speed manual transaxle.

Engine Range: 2.0L
Max Gearbox Torque: 258 lb.-ft. SS/SC trany doesnt cut it

Weight: 99 lbs.

Applications: Chevrolet Cobalt SS

with that said, i instantly called up vince, we are setting up the turbo for 14psi of boost or reduced boost if we reach 300 wheel trq before 14psi of boost

He has changed my auto matic TCM factory settings to as follows

All gears shift at 7250 rpms vice the factory 6250 rpms : good to keep the boost going
While shifting into the next gear the factory setting was 4200 rpms it was fully in the next gear, was now changed to 5000 rpms to be fully in gear
He upped all my line pressures to eliminate slipping
End Resault will be 314 whp and 300 wtrq, Adam owns all HEHEHEHE hahahaha

don't worry, my tvs will be here in a short while, and all of your threats will be quelled. Nataku or Heavy arms is another good name that I would consider.

All this talk about what power adders and what you're gonna get and nothing about proof. Take them to the track, beat a 12.97@109 and then you can talk.

hey hot import nights was pretty sweet last night turbo chargers came out true woodwork and a few cobalts were racing around the parking lot. In the actual show there were only 2 balts one of which was on here. Badgirl from cobat addiction dunno if she won anything... I would assume she did because that is a sick Balt. Half my interior is done getting ready to suede the head liner and before it decided to rain I was going to paint the door panels. I got the rear deck suede'd tho and it looks good kept the rear headrests out looks alot better. Its comin along guys I'd like to meet up with yall before I deploy so let me know whats going on this weekend!

I am not part of the 90% that feels adding an intake makes me faster than everyone else in the country. I am putting in the effort and money to make my ride solid. So if you are running in the 12's then great. I want to be there as well. But I don't have much experience with working on cars and would like to learn while working on mine. When mine is close to being done, and it will soon, then I will be posting numbers just like everyone else without having to make myself feel better because I destroyed some pos honda.
