I now haz HID lights installed. The 8000k fog lights turned out exactly as I wanted. The 6000k I bought for the low beams wear not only a pita to install, but didn't turn out quite as I wanted. I forgot that the 2nd gen projector headlights had a blueish lens for the low beams, so the low beams look just like the fog lights. They also make the ccfl halos appear white now. I was hoping for a whiter low beam and still have a blueish glow to the ccfl's. This was all during the day though. We'll see how it looks at night.

Does the old man even know what a phone is? Considering his age, the phone is a new invention to him.

yeah he did...and his notion was that of joe schulte and connor...which is that the clutch isnt able to hang with the car anymore...

speaking of which...connor my friend wants to get his tvs and stuff put on and get a tune from joe...and i figured while he was doing that i could come up with him and i could get help changing out the clutch....

does anyone have the ability to house 2 fellow balts for a weekend sometime in late february more than likely...after taxes..

I have an equivalent sitting in the shop right now. It's a centerforce df clutch. It's just as good as the spec, and has a more akin to stock feel to it.

Re: clutch...

Danew's Centerforce has the flywheel (aluminum), too. It has a different pressure plate bolt pattern, so is not compatible with others. It appeared to be in good shape and I don't understand why he is replacing it. I can run up to the shop today to get a closer look if you're interested Jay. You guys will have to work out the deal.

Otherwise, the Spec is a good clutch. I have a 3+ as does Connor. A 2+ should hold up too, unless you plan some serious **** later. Either way, go with the + units. They are a full face disc that gives better street characteristics. Yes, the flywheel would either need to be replaced or resurfaced. I can get one resurfaced for about $40 - $50. But that would take time that you don't have. I have Danew's stock one here to get resurfaced. Depending on timing, maybe you could talk sweet to him about that one and give him yours. At the rate his rebuild is progressing the timing might work.

As for a weekend... Shoot, Jay, guess you've never done a clutch job. To do that, plus the work on your buddy's car in a weekend would be pushing it. You'd have to get a full pit crew together to get it all done.

Oh, BTW, remember we have a dyno day set for 2/27, so that weekend is out. And, if anyone wants to get a tune done before that, you'd better get ahold of me soon. That includes you Cesar!

Feb. 27, 2010 SE VA Dyno Day

So far, here is the details at this time:

Date: 2/27/10

Where: All Aspects Motorsports, Chesapeake, VA

Time: Start about 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
Finish about 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Cost: Minimum of 10 cars @ $45 ea. (less than 10 = $55 ea.)

Other notes:
- Expected max at about 20 cars (maybe more, but no guarantee)
- If we have too many, shop owner is open to finishing on Sun., 2/28

If anyone wants to get a good tune before this, please contact me ASAP to set up. 757-647-0360

I will be working with the owner helping to get this done. I have the Dynojet software and will get the data files for each run and can provide pdf files of your runs later.

Also, I will NOT do any tuning that day. Shoot, I'll be helping the owner and want to have fun!

Any questions, please contact me (BennyHHR) or Mindrot (Anthony) in NOVA.

Let's get some good numbers down and have a good time. We will plan a GTG later for dinner and some BS.

This has the making of a great time and a great meet! Let's get 'er done!!

Good chance I could be going home here soon to give everybody a head's up.

My grandmother took a turn for the worse after a scare/huge hospital fiasco month's ago that almost sent me home, my family has filed the do not resuscitate form and she's on a ventilator. Lungs/heart issue, it's been laid out as only a matter of time. My grandparents practically raised me, my grandpa has escaped death many times, and I'm also concerned for him.

Just a head's up. That's all.

It took me and connor 2 days to do my clutch, at a shop with all the tools and we just barely got it done in time.
