Wow, someone besides me actually taking the iniative to make a VA meet!

I set up the last 4, so im gonna just sit back and relax on this one. I'm down for wherever and whenever really, assuming it will be on a weekend.

 

i want to set up a cruise for next year take a trip to the mountain for a cook out!

 

Next year is a long ways off Chase, lol.

Make it before Feb. and ill go. But come Feb. ill no longer be a VA resident.

 

if it's in may then I'll be able to go. Deployment sucks.

 

Id be interested if its in the NoVA area and its on a sunday. Usually work saturdays so probably cant make it unless it would be after 5pm.

Off-Topicish: Do they do those meets at chikfilet in Sterling every Friday even in the winter or is that a spring/summer only thing? And about what time do they start? [/offtopic]

 

Set it up for the end of December and you may have 2 new people attending. Not sure about the wife in her SS/NA, but I can say I would very likely to go. Leaving Utah 12/16 for VA.

 

kinda depends where it is. I haven't been able to get out to many meets because of my sched.

Yeah deplyment only sucks when your on it, when you come back you realize it wasn't too bad. I only hit port 4 time Cannes France and Dubai 3 times... that was no fun

 

Guys ill bring the burgers and hot dogs, someone brings the buns, and someone bring a grill and were set to go!!!!!!

Food+Cars= a hell of a good time

 

They do it at the Dulles Town Crossing Chic Fillet, and it dies down when the weather starts to get colder. I go everynow and then when my car is clean and I have nothing better to do. I probally went 5 or so times over the summer.

 

I used to go there regularly but now dont since my rotors and tires are so bald that I cant pass inspection to drive the car.

 

okay..... I have an idea... how about we just setup regular meet times/timeframes.. so that those who can come by... will.... at least on a local scale.... then... it should be a snap to have sporadic large meets... I only bring this up because EVERY time... was end up changing time and date to meet everyones demands... but that will leave someone out every time..... for example... I've been at work for hours before most people wake up... cpraider is another cobalt in the area who runs into schedule problems... but you know what.... I already end up in kingstowne every weekend afternoon... or I could be near fairoaks every tuesday night around 8pm if i needed to.... if we could settle on 6-12 cars, ss meets wouldn't take half a year to set up....

 

Well, We haven't made it to our station yet but I've been to Rota, Spain and Bulgaria. Problem is that we only got fuel. We never left the ship either time. We were only in Rota for about 6 hours and overnight in Bulgaria. I miss my car so much though...

 

who would want to go up to the mountains next month sometime and just have a big cookout we could find public outside grills or we could bring portable ones. We could get some pictures on some of the overlook spots it would look great especially during fall.

ha well not that tall of mountains. just a nice drive lots of trees.

but yeah do you know of any places that would take a group of around 20 or 25 of us?

 

lol yup i only know of two massanutten(sp) and winter green winters here are somewhat mild
