took my spoiler off today and plugged the holes. after almost four years of it being on, the spoiler really fucked up the paint underneath.

Pics/more details? Kinda curious how that works out, is it different than the rest of the rear of the vehicle? I know the rear of most cars gets tons of road dirt and grime buildup (best use of a clay bar is to clean all that off then usually needs a good polishing), but I wouldn't think under the spoiler would do any extra damage to the paint under it. Or are you talking about where the spoiler comes into physical contact w/ the paint?

where it has physical contact with the paint. all the dirt scratched the paint and in a few spots took it down to the metal.

wowsers! that sucks bro. I took off my front bowtie the other day it looks like **** underneath so i cut out some black vinyl and laid it over the nasty doo stains it left, until i figure out what i want to do with the front. On another note i think my suspensions getting put on in a week or two.

yeah, can't say im too pleased about it, but for now it'll do. maybe at some point i'll lay some vinyl down to cover, or not. right now im just trying to figure out where i dropped a washer in between the two metal pieces of the trunk.

haha no i've been looking for a yellow wingless trunk for forever, but havent been able to find one for a reasonable price. $400 for another trunk is not an option for me.

I'm sure you could find someone to trade straight up for a same body color trunk lid if you want plain and they want a spoiler, hell you could probably even get some money out of it

i know! i laughed at the guy when he told me the price. and as for trading, i've asked a couple people, but they thought i was trying to screw them over somehow.

You want HP Tuners not Trifecta. Although I'm not sure if HP Tuners ever unlocked the 08 2.4L's.

well here's what i was talking about. the tape i put down was so the silicon wasnt on the trunk so if/when i take it off i dont have to get the silicon off the paint. i still have to cut the tape around it, but im done for today.

My friend only tunes LNF's but I know a guy who's great with LSJ's. He has his PM box on here turned off so I'll get a hold of him and see what he'd charge ya/when he's available.

The only time I had mine on the dyno in 06 my afr went below 10 so I know its pretty rich in the higher rpms... Its been like that for 70,000 miles though.
