Rear Shock Knocking/Rattling

hey guys, i just lowered my 08 cobalt ls on eibach sportlines and it looks great!
i had them on for a total of three days and had no problems, and couldnt complain about the ride quality at all actually.
yesterday someone rode in the back and ever since then i have been hearing a knocking seeming to come from my rear right shock. im not sure if it is the shock or not, it honestly sounds like theres a rock in my trunk rolling around in that right corner.
i hear the knocking only at very low speeds on any and every bump, small and big.
highway driving is completely normal, which leads me to believe that it isnt a failed shock.
ive been reading around and no one seems to have the same problem as me, so im posting a tread about it, i read about endlinks and several things, but honestly i dont even know what theyre talking about.
i have stock shocks and struts, and ive inspected them for leaking and cracks or anything, and they look fine, the sound is really bothering me and i want to nip it in the butt before anything serious happens, so if you could give me any input itd be great!

thanks ahead of time
-josh

Is it like a popping sound? Do you feel any vibration or twitch from it? It could be a shock "sticking" in which case it would just need to be taken apart and re-greased. This happened on my friend's STi with only 30k miles. If you're still under warranty, which I assume you are, just take it to the stealership. It seems like it should be easy to replicate the sound for them.

anyone know who has a silver "in memory of" sticker in the back of their black ss/tc 4 door around the allen park/taylor area? I usually see it all the time and we've raced twice. Jw if its someone on here.

It is slightly like a popping sound and I think that is a possibility, I'm not sure tho because it doesn't seem to be getting stuck then popping out. It's really more of a rattley sound. Like plastics being thrown around my trunk, it's really annoying actually haha. It's fine until it hits a bump of any kind (again not highway) and that's why I really can't find out wtf it is! Lol. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

And about my warranty, yes, I should still have it and it would normally be covered by it. But.. By putting the springs on wouldn't that void it? Especially since they pretty much directly caused it??

Well, at least they could tell you what is making the noise. That will save you some time and money. They technically can't void the warranty unless they can prove your mods caused the damage, but that isn't the way some stealerships do things unfortunately. I'm not as familiar with the ss/tc as the ss/sc, but are there any underbody pieces? Like plastic for aero/noise? Nobody is going to be able to give you much more than "educated guesses" unless it is a common problem. Your best bet is honestly with the stealership.

Thanks for your help man, it's actually pointed me in the right direction, I hope maybe they don't realize I have adtermarket springs and then just replace it, that'd be nice hahaha but I actually don't have an SC, plain old LS, finally got it looking good enough for my taste tho I'll put up some pics soon.
Anyways, next step, stealership... Lol
