maybe someone can explain what ever made Normandy and Woodward "THE" hangout spot, I remember a few summers back, a bunch of people used to hang out at the old street legal customs area/ford dealership and ever further back up in birmingham more...whats the story? Why not Ferndale? Why not huntington woods? Why not south royal oak? What about Pontiac??? When did 12 mile to 14 mile become the desired place to see and be seen?

got a ticket tonight for doing 62 in a 50 (that was him "pacing" me), and turning without using a blinker. my speedometer never went over 57, those of you on here who know me, know I don't drive like an *******, and my dad's a cop so I get my ass beat when I get pulled over anyways so i hardly ever speed. I tell the cop my dad's a police officer as well, and he basically said not verbatim "i don't give a ****, here's a ticket for both of the things you did wrong". I respect our police officers, obviously my dad is one, but dick's like this guy shouldn't be protected by the union. just my .02

street legal use to be packed because my buddy rhodey use to work there and got everyone to come hang out there and also that was before street legal got sketchy... now since hes been gone from there no one ever goes there and everyone has just been meeting at potbellys unless u have a mullet then u could shoot over to the shell station across the street

The Royal Oak officer said that from now on anyone going to the Caribou-Potbelly's lot will be ticketed if they are seen loitering. The meet moves every couple years for this reason, a few people get everyone kicked out.
Sounds like someone's jealous Most of the cars in Shell are cleaner then anything that comes into Potbellys. Also notice that they don't get kicked out for doing stupid ****.

I'll just buy a pop from Potbellies. It's not loitering then. Hell, my dad used to do that back in the late '60s. Go hang out at McDonalds, buy a large pop, loop all night.

The owner has given permission to Royal Oak PD to have everyone kicked out whenever the PD feels like doing it.
