Michigan Grudge Match

I just got confirmation that I can extend this offer to you, the Cobaltss.net community.

This Saturday April 21st The Michigan Grand Prix Club in affiliation with ZZP is hosting Michigan Grudge Match at Mid-Michigan Motorplex aka Stanton Raceway!

Track Opens at 10:00 am
Racing Starts at 11:00 am and goes until 6:00 pm.

Admission is $50.00

They are expecting a turnout of 200 to 300 hundred people there!

Mid-Michigan Motorplex has apparently repaved the track in the off season so we will be racing on very fresh lanes!

I am posting to find out who n the Lansing area is interested in coming with me?

I am going to leave relatively early as I want time to get there and let may car cool down and generally just screw around. Space will be tight so I want to get there early.

We will be meeting in the Meijer Parking lot on Saginaw right across the street from the Lansing Mall.

Drive time is approximately 1 hr 15 min according to Mapquest.com

Please post if you are interested or PM me your phone number and ill call you.

If you don’t want to roll in the group here are the directions from all over MI.

From GRAND RAPIDS: Take US 131 15 miles north out of Grand Rapids to the Greenville exit(M-57 exit #101). Take M-57 east through Greenville to M-66. Take M-66 North to Stanton. Turn right at stoplight on M-66 in Stanton. Go 3 miles to Wyman Rd (there will be a green county road sign that says drag strip to the left), go North (left) on Wyman Rd. Track is located on the left side 3 miles down.

From LANSING: Take I-96 West out of Lansing to the Ionia exit (M-66). Take M-66 North through Ionia to Stanton. When you reach stoplight on M-66 in Stanton take right hand turn and go 3 miles to Wyman Rd (there will be a green county road sign that says drag strip to the left), go North (left) on Wyman Rd. Track is located on the left side 3 miles down.

From SAGINAW: Take M-46 West out of Saginaw all the way to the town of Edmore. In Edmore take a left hand turn at the caution light (you will be heading South), this is First Street in Edmore. Continue on this road for 6 miles (you will go through a small town McBride). The track is located on your right side just beyond McBride.

Any way HIT ME UP!

Test and Tune, through out the day. We will be heading up there some time first thing in the morning and have a cobalt convoy driving down to the track. So far it's looking like it's about 10 of us.

Have Fun

The reason im going to MGM is that the track is rented out.

My hope is that i'll be able to get a few runs in.

I also heard that Milan was kind of subpar. Let me establish that I've never been there but a buddy of mine didnt have too many postive things to say. Hes actually a member here so if he wants to chime in he can.

Have a good time drive safe and post your results.
