A friend of mine and I have been thinking about getting away from NY and moving south, preferably in VA. Any tips for us? Where to live, good/bad areas, job opportunities, etc... stuff like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and yes, I will be bringing my car lol.

North Carolina is also in consideration

 

Are you guys thinking living in VA near Washington or out in the sticks? My dad lives in Winchester which is like an hour and a half east of DC and it's really really nice out there if you like more rural areas. One thing though, no matter where you live in VA... take a trip to Skyline Drive. Might be a little far depending where you move but its the most fun I've ever had on a public road (think - mountain twistys for 110 miles )

 

dude ohio is a pretty good place to be sandusky is the city a lot of job like cedar point and a bunch of water parks

i live there, other than that i would say outside richmond or norfolk, not near DC cause of the cost. but ronaoke is pretty cheap, good place. not much bad stff going on

if ya really want something fun go to The Tail of the Dragon in tennesse. 318 turns in 11 miles, not as long but fun as ****!!

i live in catlett out in the stick dont move near dc the traffics a bitch plus cost to live is high i would pick culpeper or prince willaim co is kinda mix of it all

 

Herndon or Reston area if you have the money. Wonderful area with a pretty well progressing economy and area development. 2nd richest schools out here also.

 

Have fun getting ass raped by the cops down here for having an aftermarket exhuast.

I have like 11.....or is it 14....maybe like 17....exhaust tickets. Fun ****.

But overall the car scene down here is fantastic. Lots of big shows out this way (HIN, Hyperfest, Redline Time Attack, Nopi, etc etc).

Just dick cops.
