Trying to organize an AUTO X meet in western pa. It will take place at Beaver Run in Big Beaver, PA. here is the website: http://www.beaverun.com/. right now the date is undecided but it will be on a weekend. track rental for the day is looking at around $1000 from 9am-6pm. Jeff(erod) asked me about making a post about it and to get the ball rolling since i am local to the track. Questions/comments ask away.

Myspace says you have to add people before we can see your pics. Has anyone here ever been to the auto-x events at the Toledo Express Airport? If so can you compare this setup with that one?

I went to the airport auto-x once and was somewhat dissapointed for a 2 hour drive hehe. I understand this isn't 2 hours away from me but still want to know what the setup is like for auto-x.

The Cannonball Run has been there, BMW unveiled the new 3-series to the press there, etc etc. The place is sweet, I'm about to check this weekends schedule maybe stop down.

I'd be up for it. But why not get everyone together on an open house day???? A bunch of Cobalts on the North Track, Auto-x, and Wilson Circuit (go kart track) would be cool.

Either way I'm probably down, depending on cost. Right now I'm planning on running the full SCR schedule so money will be going to that and to fund new r-comps.

Ah, we'll see. Is it just auto-x or will it be North Track too? I'm cool with just auto-x cause NT is usually VERY expensive unless you open it up to anyone. Would be a nice T&T opportunity.

 

It will be Auto-X only on the Vehicle Dynamics Area, that cost alone is alot of money UP FRONT. I would hate to know what it costs for North Track rental

 

OK, well, I'll keep it in mind. There's two of us that auto-x regularly, but the other one won't be driving a Cobalt this season. If I run both local club events, I probably wont' make it up, or if I run Pgh and State College. But we shall see. Summer is a LONG way off.

 

I'll drive by tomorrow.
