Stupid things I have heard selling a vehicle

I am posting in the Ohio section because I am selling an old jeep in Ohio. I absolutely can not stand that people do not understand how to buy anything anymore. They do not know how to barter or anything. They just ultimately ask what is my lowest price. Why would I tell you my lowest price if I want to get the best price for my jeep? Why do people not understand that I will entertain offers and if it is tooo low I will tell you. If you hit a price that I like or are close I will work with you. LOL just a rant, I hate selling vehicles because people just don't get it. I bet you have had this experience even selling things on this site lol. WHEW! I am done

its the same thing when people buy from dealerships as well, people just don't know how to barter anymore because its not being passed down from the parents. pretty much every retailer of anything can be brought down in price on things just got to know how to work it.

Talk a price. Price doesnt match what you think. Walk away. Come back another day. Talk price. Price doesnt match. Walk away. Rinse and repeat.

I will give you a penny to delete this thread j/k. I always ask what is the lowest reasonable offer you are looking for to sell ASAP . why because if I ask then I'm serious and don't want any bullshit. And this is not on cars by the way but Yea sounds like you just need to pick a price and say FIRM or say best offer takes this pos jeep lol then it will sell fast

that is all I am saying. How do people not understand this idea or concept? I do not care if they do not want the BS of Bartering. Everyone who sells something usually has a high dollar price and a low price that they will deal with. When someone comes in and asks what is my low price it just irks me like they are being lazy and do not want to guess a price. I like the idea above wash rinse repeat until you and I are on the same price. BTW not a POS jeep lol a 1979 cj5 fiberglass body chevy 350 and all kinds of bells and whistles. lol . I just hate that I have to lowball myself. I could just list it firm but I usually give a little wiggle room on the price to get more people to look at it. I guess I am just old and know what it is like to go buy a car and offer a price and hope it gets accepted. Just my .02 and a good topic for discussion.

You see that is what I am talking about. I don't care if the guy took pictures then put them back on, or even put them on the car and didn't like them after he put them on. Guys just get this sense of "It has gotta be cheap because I want it" or they just low ball. I just started ignoring the people.

The other one that I get is..... I will trade you my POS for your car. Ha ha I say why don't you sell your POS and then give me the money that I want for my car.

Bottom line is all I want is someone to make an offer the correct way. If they low ball me that is fine. I will just say try again but, they could offer the magic number and the car is theirs. Reading this post I see that you all have had this happen to you now and are as bothered by it as me. Keep it up I love reading the classifieds here on this site for them. I know some are jokes because guys know each other but others are great!

I hate when people ask about things that are already listed in the Ad. Its like they read the title and then skipped down to the phone number part. READ THE FREAKING AD!!!!
