MPx Intercooler now in stock for 08-10 Cobalt Turbo (PICS)

Link:

Introducing the MPx intercooler for the 2008-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Turbo.

The Cobalt SS Turbo has a small turbo, designed for efficient, 13-15 psi boost. Once you start increasing the boost, the turbo begins to heat the compressed air further, increasing the compressed air temperature. With higher incoming air temperatures, the pcm retards the timing, this leads to diminished horsepower per additional psi of boost.

In order to lower the incoming air temperatures, a better intercooler is needed to absorb the heat from the compressed air, and dissipate the heat.

This intercooler, especially at boost pressures higher than 20 psi, will help you REGAIN power lost due to the stock intercooler not dissipating heat fast enough!

Ease of Installation
Thats where the MPx intercooler comes in. This is designed to perfectly replace the factory intercooler with no cutting, welding or removing of the factory crash bar.

Design of MPx Intercooler

The MPx intercooler uses a bar and plate core for maximum flow and heat absorbtion/dissipation.
The MPx intercooler uses cast end tanks for maximum flow and strength. With less welds, you have greater strength and less chances of leakage!
Mounting brackets are made from quarter inch thick aluminum for incredible strength and rigidity.
This photo shows the difference between the factory intercooler and the MPx intercooler.

Here are the measurements of the factory versus MPx intercooler.
FACTORY
28 inches long
3.1 inches deep
6.25 inches tall

MPX
30 inches long
3.5 inches deep
7 inches tall
Also, a problem most aftermarket intercoolers are having when installed on the Cobalt SS Turbo, is the reduced ground clearance. With intercoolers that hang really low, you'll have problems with your intercooler getting damaged from curbs, inclines, etc. We designed the MPx intercooler to have plenty of clearance so that wont be a problem! Here are some photos showing the ground clearance of the factory intercooler and the MPx intercooler.

OEM intercooler ground clearance:

pop the bumper off, take off the old intercooler, install the new one, put the bumper on, have a beer, go to a strip joint. All in all, anywhere between 45 min - 6 hours depending on how many lap dances you decide to get.

Yeah, about an hour if you've done it before. If not I say about 1.5-2. I can do it in a half hour lol
I have had my bumper off many times. Could do it with my eyes closed lol

Thanks, I'm thinking it'll take me closer to two hours then. I've never taken it off before and I just had it painted, I wouldn't want to get it all scratched up.

We're seeing less than .50 - .75 lb pressure loss. Thats 3/4 of a psi. Not even noticeable.

Shipping to Canada is no problem at all. We ship to Canada daily and we have special rates to ship to Canada by USPS/and Fedex.

Thank you guys for your orders! This intercooler has been popular and we're now sold out.

We're working on our next batch but it looks like we wont have more till mid to late next month.

Gestapo - thanks for posting pics!
