Bye STI, Hello '06 SS/SC

Just got my stock SS/SC about a month ago, LOVE IT! Already in the process of modding it. If any of y'all are in the Houston area, hit me up! Would like to connect with some fellow SS drivers. My roommate has a 350whp '09 SS/TC and he's who got me in the Cobalt game. Sold my Hawkeye STI for one. Anyway, I look forward to hopefully rolling with some of y'all and sharing the progress of my new project!

I got bored. I've had a Camaro SS, FC and FD RX-7, STI, and a couple of bikes. Just got a really good offer on it that I couldn't refuse and so I took it. Then I loved my roommates so I bought one.. only had 50k miles on it. Old guy drove it and traded it in at the Dealership I worked at so I picked it up for a steal.. I enjoy it and in about a month I'll be just as fast as my STI was if not faster. Lol
how do you posts pics?

As of right now, I have the stage 3 zzp kit on order with badmab header, straight pipe, intake, cam, and fuel pump to run e85. Hopefully by the end of next month I will have the tvs sc on order as well. other than that I have been wanting to twin charge it but just not sure. Suggestions??

I would have suggested turbo charging it if you are going to spend all of that money on it.

Yeah zzp doesnt even make the twin charge kit anymore because they found that running a turbo is way more efficient and can get a lot more power. the lsj motor is one hell of a motor to turbo. thats what i would do. do zzp's s256 turbo kit and youll be happy

Port and Polish head with Tvs and e85 you should be good. I'm not against a turbo swap but it's just easier to slap on the tvs because you will pretty much have all the cooling mods. I think 325-350hp is more than enough for a dd. But if your shooting for 400+ then go turbo swap

Welcome aboard!

The only issue I see here is what I put in bold above. You are going to HATE life with a straight piped lsj. They are holy **** god awful loud and raspy to no end. For your own sake, please reconsider going straight piped!

My roomates supercharged cavi is 3" straightpipe. You can still hear it 5 miles out of town and if youre riding in it, good luck talking. Its fun as hell tho

Here is some pictures for you guys, thank you for the input! lol it wouldnt be just straight pipe. it would have a high flow resonator and a muffler on it. Same setup as one of my buddy's who has a sc cobalt. sounds pretty good..
