Dirt trackin Cobalt new guy
Howdy new guy from Louisiana. Bought a 2007 Cobalt 2.2 dirt track car for my son and here to learn what I can and share what little I know.

Thanks guys. As for the height of the car I told my boy it reminds me of a bumble bee. Too high of a center of gravity for me. But the car/cage is well built and safe. I prefer my Cavalier. No mods yet we just got the car. I probably won't do anything motor wise for now I just want to get it to handle well for my son first. I work 14-14 and didn't have much time after we got it to really dive off into it. It does run in the stinger class. And it's fun as sh*t! I have read that I can use different struts to stiffen it up some. Maybe a control arm swap because I heard it's a little weak. I'll do plenty of searching before I ask a stupid question, I hope.

i know down here, they arent allowed to do forced induction and really arent supposed to do any modifications, but i dont know how they can tell if you internally upgrade it, tune it with hptuners, use stock looking le5 shocks and struts, use the le5 intake manifold, use a gmpp exhaust manifold, or hide a bottle. ive always thought the cavalier or cobalt would be awesome in the stinger class because of the parts availability and stuff you can do to them

I wonder if you could get Vince to write a dual tune that you could activate a higher HP mode via a switch. Would be cheating, but could be awesome in small track setups.
