downpipe/flexpipe

So this happened today. Need advice since im nee to these cars. Would i have to replace the section or is that part of the down pipe? I was gonna go with a catless dp. But idk if i got a nee dp if it would fix that. Help please?

Haven't happened to me yet, but look on eBay for a flex pipe section. A whole new downpipe would include the catalytic converter and you shouldn't have to replace that if you don't have to. Cheapest way is to cut the old flex pipe off and weld on the new flex pipe from eBay. Then you won't have to replace the entire downpipe and catalytic converter.

Well i would just get a new dp. Getting it fixed will probably run you 40 and up all depends on the exhaust shop you go to then you run into the problem of leaks because welds arent any good. plus the flex pipe price added to that. I had that happened to me and i just got a used zzp dp but i dont own that balt anymore.

Downpipes for cobalts aren't that expensive.
