Trying to get a manual trans for my car. I have a auto cobalt ls is it possible to switch the transmission from automatic to manual? And how much would it cost?

It's possible... But don't even bother honestly. The cost will be more than just getting a new car.

 

Welcome to css, post up some pictures of your cobalt and any mods you've done. honestly it would be easier to trade in for a manual transmission cobalt, and some of the money could help you get one with lower miles.

 

as stated before, the cost of doing the swap would be alot. it would be easier just to find a sc or tc ss and buy that instead. but please do post pics for us. we love pics :-) and welcome to the group!

Just throw a 3500 stall converter in it, and get a line lock.

 

manual base models may be slow but they are still fun!
Plus mine ***** on my friends TDI which makes it better
