Hardcore Noob with 09 SS Sedan

Hey guys my name is Donny. I live in Mt. Airy, MD. Im real new to the Cobalt scene. I just picked up an 09 SS Sedan in Summit White. From what ive read its a pretty rare car (1 of 41?). I love the car so far. I literally just picked it up tonight. Is there any mandatory upgrades I should do first besides the shifter clamp? I also want to get an Arm Rest too. Ill be doing my research and using the search button ( This aint my first forum rodeo) but im still a cobalt noob so any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Here is a pic of it on the lot.

hey man ive got an 09 tc sedan in silver......definitely go downpipe, intake and tune first. that should get u around 300whp. full exhaust and charge pipe upgrades are good options after that. and the search button is quite worthless

just remember any mods are useless without a tune, unless you have GMS1. Stock is locked to 260/260. But like jbro said, intake/DP (catless is better, but at a cost) and tune. With that you will have a very fun little car. =)

Well I recommend you start reading, and also remove that damn front plate blocking the intercooler

Already done and I debadged it today too. Total sleeper status now! Im lovin this car so far. I suspect that there might be a tune on it also. I did multiple pulls today in various gears and everytime the boost built quickly to 20-22psi and stayed there. Any thoughts on that?

20-22PSI definitely tuned. Please take a picture with the hood open.

Also appears to be lowered on Pedder springs (check out the spring color, pic if possible)

Best mods:

K&N Typhoon Intake
ZZP Catless Downpipe
Crate Engine Depot 3 Bar Map Sensors
ZZP Intercooler
ZZP Hot/Cold side piping

forgot to add, car is super rare you got a gem! I really think these will be remember as a great sleeper once the public really realizes that the Ecotec LNF is the best 4Cyl turbo motor ever designed.

RandyO - Im liking your sedan in your sig. I sold some wagon wheels a few months back. Ive never really liked them on anything but they look pretty decent on your car.

I believe the springs are factory. Black with the little tags wrapped around them. I would like to lower just the back to get it sittin level until i can get coilovers.

The motor looks stone stock. I put the car on the lift last night and it has a resonator delete and a magnaflow muff. It might have the airbox mod done too. Im not sure though. It has a blue silicone coupler down where it attaches to the snorkel/air inlet thing. Thats why im guessing.

But here is a motor shot

Do you hear an insanely awesome turbo noise and something that sounds like a blow off valve (technically called bypass valve)?

Got the SS tinted today. 20% all the way around. The white makes it look much darker IMO.
