Hello

Hi I'm Nik. I drive a red (who would of guessed) 2009 Cobalt SS.
I've been in the Army for about 2 1/2 years, living in Germany and currently deployed to the Sinai Peninsula, I'll be coming home for good at the end of this year. Car will be paid off and I got some money put back to finally start modding. Car has been taken care of by my dad since I've been gone, and I sadly only have gotten to drive my baby 3 times in the past 2 years 😔.
Can't wait to finally get started with her, and to become a part of this community.

That's my next move for mine. I'd like to see 500whp out of my LS3. Headers, cam, and E85 could get me close.

I bet you have a list of what you want since you've waited so long.

Nice. I'm trying to convince him to spring for e85 since we finally have quite a few stations with it back home, but he's not convinced for some reason. He just wants to throw a bottle in it and call it a day now. Yea my list is constantly changing though, only benefit of being away for so long is saving money, plenty of time to wait on good deals, and doing a **** ton of research for the right parts for me. I should have a nice garage full of parts when I go home for good though.
Thank you Snail

First, MPX Catless downpipe, MPX Exhaust w/o muffler, K&N intake, ZZP canned e47 tune (if that's possible, hadn't read up on their canned tune until recently), OTTP Transmounts, and OTTP short shifter. Maybe an intercooler w/ pipes if I can find a good deal on one.
When I get out it'll be tax time again, and their taxing the hell out of us during this deployment, so good refund will mean it'll be time for HP Tuner suite and complete rework of the suspension.

Instead of doing the zzp canned tune you should just wait when you get hptuners and get a tuner from here to remote tune you

Yea after rereading my post it does seem redundant to get a canned tune first..
Hopefully I can find some good deals for some this sometime this year, I'll prob order the short shifter and mounts soon since OTTP has a discount on them right now.

I've read nothing but great things about the shifter.
The mounts seem to be under scrutiny, but in my eyes only because of vendor loyalty.

I had ottp's mounts and enjoyed them as well. I did what Snail is thinking and went for another quieter option as I daily my lsj. I have ottp's intake and hardcore sway bar as well which I believe was designed by Powell back in the day.

Nope I going stock with key hole spacer that will still give me the rotation but without the vibes, I've ran the ottp for a little over a year now

Ha exactly what I did. If you drive your car a lot the vibrations tend to get annoying. I mean, they weren't bad with Ottp's mounts but not as smooth as stock.

My first car I actually started building when I was younger was an 89 CRX. No PS, no AC, suspension was completely built (most uncomfortable ride in the world, but damn could it handle) and I loved every second of it. So I'm not to worried about some vibration as long as I can launch properly.
If you do decide to sell your mounts ssyellow let me know.

That's the reason I want to give the oems a try since I do love the handling and all that comes with it but at times the rattles drive me crazy haha

You'll be glad the vibes are gone. I did OEM with a spacer and yyzV5 springs (had rusted pedders) when I rebuilt my motor and it was like driving a new car.

Victory, if you want them, they are yours.
