If you know or know who knows or whatever that would be awesome. I'm not tech/computer/website savvy. I just bought a sedan and it's beat to hell and probably been rodded on. Cracked intercooler and worn breaks, rust and all kinds of CELs. I'm trying to bring her back to like and that tranny whine noise would be great to get answered. I can do the rest. Thanks in advance. Oh I have found $2k transmissions on line and what not. That's last option for me. I want to keep this original. Thanks

welcome. I would fix the CEL codes and everything else first before tearing down to fix a noise that seems to be fairly common and isn't necessarily an indication of a problem

Hey man I have some knowledge but don't know everything for sure. To what I know that sound is normal. My sedan makes it aswell and I'm with you it's annoying and makes you think something is wrong the transmission its solid tho. You could try and change the trans oil and maybe that will help but it won't be completely gone. Like mentioned above focus on everything else. As long as all gears enter and it doesn't give you any issues you should be fine

Welcome!
I bought my balt brand new in 2010 and it has always made that deceleration sound. I have since replaced the trans (not for this reason BTW, but because of a blown 3rd gear) with a brand new built and cryo treated F35 from Mr. Powell and it does the same thing. It's annoying, but completely normal. Get used to it!
