Hey! IM new.. can i get some advice?

Hey all! I was looking for a new car, and I had finally saved up enough to get something nice, so I went out and bought a 2008 cobalt ss turbocharged. it was one of the best decisions of my life. but now I'm looking into putting some modifications on it. But im not too automotive-savy and I was wondering if I could get some suggestions on where to start. I found this site and, from all I have seen, everyone seems to be very nice. That's why I came here

Welcome! Assuming you car is stock, your best bet is a down pipe and a tune. The SS TC has a "learn-down" feature which keeps the engine from producing more than 260hp/260tq so modifications have no effect until you get tuned. Make sure your car didn't come with a GM Stage 1 kit in which case the "learn-down" is already unlocked. After that just go down the list in my sig lol j/k

This, Tom has been quite helpful for a lot of ppl

Also you want to think long term how much power you're going to want, if you want a build like Colodude get ready to spend some money on grippy tires so you have traction

Look at the MAP sensor on top of your engine. If it has two bolts, your car is stock. If it has only one, you're Stage 1.
It's the sensor with the blue "label" on the right side that I'm talking about.

Haha this was when I did the 5th injector install, like 3 months ago. But having said that, it's actually worse now! First things first though; once she runs like she should, then I'll go back to detailing;-)
