Good luck, I'd save a bit more and do it all for xmas. You don't want to cheap out on something like that, it could lead to more $$ later on down the road in repairs. And as for ebay turbos, yes stay far far away. I know A FEW have had good luck with them...but that is very unsual.

Welcome

my 2 cents... probably cheaper to sell current car and just buy a 05-07 Cobalt SS supercharged and or spend a little more $$$$ and get a 08 Turbo Cobalt SS.... trust me, this is the best way to go... /end thread

SS - 2926 pounds

LS - 2783 pounds

these are both 2010 cobalts

in my opinion no they are far between equal in weight even if he puts all this stuff in it I've seen an ls kick a corvettes ass

the weight plays a major role in all cars

I'm saying though that when you add on all the stuff you'll add quite a bit of weight and you still have the worse interior.

It does and its possible, but not by simply bolting a turbo kit to an otherwise stock ls

Its a 200 pound difference.

200 pounds of a better motor, better suspension, better brakes, better wheels, and go fast parts.

What do you think happens when you ADD parts to the LS? It weighs more. By the time you add on the parts you want to make the LS handle better, stop properly, and go faster you will be left with a car that weighs the same...

^ I've said that and she still doesn't get it.

You realise the weight to power ratio is so much worse even with the slight weight difference.

I really just think she doesn't know what she's talking about.

And why haven't you posted pics of your car and your finances cobalt, with you in the pics of course.

But bro:
2926lbs SS with 260hp stock
vs
2700lbs LS with 150hp stock

logic says the lighter car wins!
duh
