Hopefully picking up a ss/sc this weekend
New member here from south dakota. planning on going to pick up a gray 06 ss/sc this weekend. figured id join the forum and look around before hand and figure out must do mods.
what do you all suggest? planning on doing plasti dip evo mod, looking into halo or hid lights (stock ones are a little foggy) and painting stock wheels but havent decided on the color yet because they are peeling.

Read the forum. There's several opinions on what to do but if you have any inkling on performance mods you already know the basics for ANY car. Intake, header and exhaust. Then tune/stage tunes. Over time, reading enough of this site, you'll get it.
I couldn't afford the top model when I bought the car but ended up modding it up within months,if I would have held off for a few months could have bought what I wanted.although I did learn ALOT by working on the car.
I still have the car and its hard to let it go now cause All I went threw to get it that way.
Top end models hold their value better to,not saying ss/tc holds value better then a ss/sc that I don't know.
Anyhow welcome buy what you can afford most important.

i plan on leaving it mostly stock engine wise. its about all i can afford as a college student but just want something nicer than what i have currently. if i had the money i would buy a ss/tc and not even look at the ss/sc but its not in the budget so ill have to settle for a sc.
i dont really need a v8 beater, just a nice car that looks good so im gonna do a few cosmetic things and call it good for now

gonna do a few little mods on it and then leave it hopefully.
thinking of doing:
evo mod
remove a few badges
35% tint all around
plasti dip spoiler and mirrors
tint tail lights
do a little cosmetic stuff inside on the dash
hopefully i can leave it at that so i can save some money

Intake, smaller pulley, larger injectors, header, downpipe, catback, front mount heat exchanger, dual pass, and phenolic spacer.
Then tune it.
All on the same day so you don't waste time.
And then 2 months later realize you should have put that money towards a turbo kit.
Then start looking at new cars.
Buy said new car and never look back.
Good luck.
