Hoping to Purchase Cobalt SS

Hi everyone.

I honestly joined to learn a little about this car so that I could pick out a nice one for my wife and know how to upgrade it.

Currently I own a 2015 Lancer Evolution FE, 1996 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. SHe has a 2000 Ford Escort Zx2. While her car is reliable we have moved on in life and hoping to get her something nicer.

First make sure she's into owning an SS. They're really not the most comfortable dd. Plus they're pretty old something more modern will be more comfortable and safer.

The TC handles great but gives a pretty rough ride cause of the twist beam.

they are nice reliable cars. if you are going to get one, make sure its the turbo model. the aftermarket is great for these cars. ZZP performance, OTTP, Powell Racing, Pwerks, and modern performance just to name a few. Also, if you do get the turbo model, one thing i and many others would recommend is to get the valves walnut blasted, due to them getting all caked up from the direct injection. other then that, yes we are biased but they are great cars. Full bolt ons and a nice tune will get you 310-330whp & 330-380wtq (Depending on tune) on 93.

I would try and find a stock turbo model or one with light mods. Look for the G85 option (LSD).

I honestly think the car is a great DD I've never had a problem with that, stock suspension is pretty good once you start modding it gets a bit harsh but im sure anyine can handle it

I am in the thought process to sell mine, but I'm still looking for my next car. It's hard to step away from a car this quick that's so cheap.
