I recently drove my 98 SL2 into the grave with 315,000 miles. Original engine and clutch. The car owed me nothing and I was hoping to make it to 400k, but I ended up burning a valve and driving it another 8000 miles or so until the alternator died on me. It needed an alternator, tires, and brakes, in addition to the valve repair. So instead of putting any money into it, I decided it was time to move on.

I just picked up a 2006 black ss for my daily driver after searching for quite a while.
Hoping to get my mpg up and keep it stock and reliable. I like it so far, just wish there was a center console to rest my arm on.....

Look on ebay for Armrests for cobalts. They will say for autos only but will fit manuals without issue. Most likely be the best mod you can do Also welcome!
