standard five speed. And I def will. Like I said, I'm brand new to the scene. And I've always driven civics, not like the fart canned ones cause that **** makes me wanna punch them in the face but I finally got switched over to a Balt.

I wanna get springs after I do some tires and rims. Any suggestions on good ones that doesn't make it an unbearable ride

Well I'll list what I have, Powell Race Shop (from now on will call PRS) YYZ v.3 springs with Koni adjustable shocks/struts as well as a PRS Hardcore rear swaybar I love the suspension and the rear will come out before the front in most instances.

I've also got an TWM short throw shifter although if I did it again it'd be a billet pro shop STS. I have a K&N intake but have a turbo kit I'm just collecting the last few parts for. I never wanted to get the downpipe and header because I didn't know if I'd be turboed or supercharged so didn't want to spend the money.

I've got a lightweight flywheel and I'm going to pick up a KY stage 3 clutch.

What I'm currently doing is getting in parts for both the turbo build but also putting on brembo brakes this week as well as a 5 lug swap. I've got ion redline wheels painted black and they'll be on soon.

Thanks man

And damn Andrew. That's a lot. I'm wanting to swap my rear drums out for rotors and either go Wildwood, or brembo. But I gotta have that money and know someone who can do it first haha

I'm just sticking with the rears as drums at the moment, the PRS rear conversion with good rears costs $1750

on the lighter

Haha no man, not because of that.

I just wanted the 5speed, coupe and yellow really catches the eye.

PLUSSSSS. My driving record prevents me from getting a sport model of any car.

And 1750? That's not too too bad. I mean, it sucks ass but it'd be worth it.

Welcome! Sounds like you've got a good idea of what you want to do with ditching the wheels and lowering it.

Hahah yeah, that's just with that, I have a good idea of what I want the final outcome to be and what it will look like but I've got a long way. Luckily once I start back to saving, It'll just be new parts every paycheck hahah.

I've still gotta decide on exhaust. I like a couple different ones. I just don't know which one is really the best.

Any 2.5'' exhaust will be an improvement but it's the header and downpipe that'll do a lot more. I personally picked up a used ark performance N-II exhaust, sounds great but has the fart can look.

I was thinking about the N-II. I heard it sticks out quite a bit? That's what they themselves told me.

I need to know all about sizes and shiz. Going from Jdm to domestic is a change. I have to relearn everything.

Like would I be better to get a 4-1 header or a 4-2-1? and etc.
I feel like a scrub that doesn't know anything hahah. =[

4-1 header will give you better low end, mid length to longtube header will give you better high end. 2.5" is a good downpipe to catback size for sure. what is your ultimate goal with the car though?

Just to be a clean looking, quick car. I'm wanting to charge it down the line. But that can always change. I'm not looking for a SRT killer or a 600hp monster. Just something fun to drive and that's fast-ish.

I'm looking for like an overall product of 350-400hp.

Welcome

It's gonna take a lot for a base to get those numbers, but if can happen. There's a lot of base guys like myself but are more dedicated to gaining power than me on here.

Could you not get a sports car because of insurance? I don't even think my insurance asked me what model my cobalt was.

Ark DT-S is the exhaust I have. Been through a few winters and it's resisting the rust pretty well. Sounds great too.

i'm a built and boosted base model, parts in my sig. trust me, it takes a LOT to get the car safely up to that.. i've spent more on parts than i bought the car for, so be weary. you're gonna need to build the block and turbo it in order to get that amount of power. and you'll need a good suspension, wheels and tires in order to even put the power down, ky stage 3 clutch to keep you from being stranded
